Travel, increasing my income, and taking full control over my life is the main points on my vision board. The reason being is because my whole life I have been in mandatory public schools and raised in a poor family who doesn't care about these things but I'm going to break out of my comfort zone and expand my confidence! If it wasn't for my vision board Idk where I would be! This will be my first time flying in a plane!

Goal Freak I’m in the exact situation like u. My family never cared about these things either and I thought I would be like them and go to college get a job and then work for ever but Instead I decided that I’m gonna work save up For a 1 ur and half or maybe 2 years then travel as long as I can even if my family doesn’t support me cuz it’s something I really want to do with my life

Air BnB is one of my favorites as well! My mother and I always use it. It is the perfect way to experience the place you are visiting for cheap! We like to bring groceries if we are driving or if it is quite far away by car we stop by the nearest grocery store and fill up the refrigerator with cheap items like pasta and marinara sauce, salads, and sandwich necessities. In my opinion, traveling for food is not that important. We do go out and try the food maybe eat at a restaurant or two but we never get breakfast lunch and dinner. Eating out adds up in expensive areas like you said but if you are traveling to see the place and experience it I don't think giving up the food is such a big deal... I would rather go zip lining than eat some 5-star restaurant.

I recommend this expericence to everyone, because you become very mature/wise at the end !

How often do you travel solo? What parts of traveling solo should I not be so scared about and what are some things I should keep in mind? How do you find people to travel with?
@TessFlorio7 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't travel completely solo that often, usually I'm with a friend! but I'm most likely going on a big solo trip in january! :) one thing I've learned though is when you're traveling on your own, it is so so soo easy to meet new people if you put yourself in the right situations and then all of a sudden you don't feel alone at all anymore! but of course just always be cautious in new settings! & most of the time, I just find a friend who wants to travel with me!

Honestly, I went to a travel agent on the weekend, just to have their perspective on flights. Then I spent multiple days, literally living on my phone, looking at flight prices from different dates, different lengths of time and angles, and directions blah blah blah. And I concluded that the flight agent honestly had the best deal for me. I was basically getting the same price that they were giving me maybe $100 cheaper. And with that much of a difference, I decided it’s best to go through the agent this time around. I told the support online flights depending on what you’re doing. But sometimes travel agents are helpful too :-) I’ve done both. And yes, I did look at Google flights and kayak and what not.

Thanks Tess, for video about solo travelling in budget. Travelling in budget is very crucial especially when you are going to a place you have never visited.

If you travel in europe, take advantage of the trains! I think trains are not so much a thing in america, but europe (esp. central europe) has a rather extensive railroad network and you can travel quite cheaply and you get to see the landscape up close!
