Lost my wife of 22 years, she was my high school sweetheart…she passed away at 40 years old…endometrial cancer stage 4…we caught it too late, it’s two weeks into her passing now and was searching KZbin Vids of “afterlife” videos to make sure she’s ok…stumbled upon your vids. Everything you described about your wife and the whole process mirrors my exact experience. And yes, I spontaneously cry in my car too, so much just triggers me right now. I too didn’t plan on becoming a single dad (15 year old son) and widowed. My wife and son was my whole social life. Your video has really helped me a lot. Thank you. 🙏

Again I a. sorry for your loss. Try to see if you can get in touch with Taylor odlozil. He lives in Texas. He has a five year old son and lost his wife Haley on July 14, 2023 at age of 30 from ovarian cancer. I feel you and Taylor would have something in common and perhaps breathe in an easier manner.

I talk to my husband daily. When he passed we made a decision to never, ever, talk about him in the past tense...he is here with us still.
@sarahlund-nt3kw
@sarahlund-nt3kw 8 ай бұрын
That's so important to not talk about people we've lost, in the past tense. It's okay to believe that they're still here with us. We've had a bond with them for decades, so we all want to feel like the connection between ourselves, and the deceased person is ongoing, for the rest of our lives. And why not? Don't let anyone tell you any different. The deceased person is still with us every day. If anyone has a different opinion on that, let them express it, but you don't have to believe it. You have a right to believe in what you believe in. We all do. Much love. 😊❤

I lost my mom last year, but she was gone years before. She had Parkinson. I lost my dad many years ago, but we had a difficult relationship. I never had a wife. It hurt me much more when I lost my dog who was the kindest soul ever andwas around me all the time and everything I had. He deserved every tear I shed. I told everybody who wanted to comfort me about his life, his character, how awesome he was and that helped me to get through this time. After a year of grief it eventually got easier and I started to enjoy life again. Talking really helps although I am a silent guy. Don´t shut yourself up.

Kyle, I think that I was guided to turn on your message in the early hours of the morning. My husband was just diagnosed with a terminal illness. He is having surgery in the morning. You have just identified what is happening to me. I am going through "Early Greiving"!!! I believe my husband is in denial and does not want to talk about what he is going through. It is so hard. I am scared and want to be there for him. He is my life and I always thought I would pass before him. I just have no idea where to turn at this point. It is very helpful listening to you. Thank you for sharing your innermost feelings.

Grief is torture everyday, it was six years we lost our 41 year old son on Christmas Day 2017. It has been getting easier if that is what you can call it and now we talk about the good memories and not his last day. He passed away from the Noro virus, his heart stopped and they didn’t get him back in time before he was brain dead. He was the best son, husband and father to a 12 year old daughter who is now in her first year of college. He would be so proud. I still talk to my son everyday and I will until I see him again Thank you, Kyle ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Kyle for this. My husband just passed 3 weeks ago. He was 78. We were married 48 1/2 years. I was just barely 20 when we met and was he was 9 years older than me. He was on hospice for 6 months before he left. I feel so blessed that God gave me the gift and trusted me enough to be his caregiver these last 4 years (he had dementia and multiple organ issues.). I thought that because of his age and the length of our relationship it would be easier for me but it’s not. I don’t know how to be “one”. We were so solid w/each other and now I feel fractured w/no understanding of how to put the pieces together again. I will get through this because of my faith but oh, how very big that very dark circle is. Seems like the “colors” cannot penetrate it. I loved following you and Jenny. She was such a beautiful soul, as you are also. Thank you for sharing. I’m 69 and it shows that you can teach an old dog-wait, let me rephrase that…one is never too old to be taught sound wisdom. Thank you and may the love and peace of Christ be with you. Many hugs to you and your precious angels! Sue

I'm sorry you have no friends, are lonely and I understand you not wanting to share that with your family. Perhaps there is a senior center in your area, I have lived in towns that had really nice senior facilities where seniors could go to meet with others, do crafts, play board games, go on group outings on busses etc. Some offered transportation to and from the centers daily or weekly via bus pickup others had carpooling type services. Some offered exercise courses, learn a new language groups, group movie viewing, group singing abd musical courses. I remember when my sister and I were in our late 40s we toured the brand new senior center in our small town and were amazed at how great it was. They had computers and offered free computer courses, had a reading library, a wall of puzzles and board games, art and craft rooms. They had coffee, tea, water and a small kiosk with treats you could buy, the money for the snacks went to a local food bank. The center was state and county funded and primarily staffed by volunteers, it was awesome. Even if a person only went there to sit and have coffee or tea and perhaps play a game of cards or charades or work on a puzzle with someone that's 30 minutes or more that they were not sotting home alone. If you have any hobbies perhaps you could become involved in a group that meets to do that hobby, I know most communities have quilting, knitting, crocheting and scrapbooking circles. Stores like JoAnns fabric offers different hobby courses where people meet in friendly groups to learn that craft. Stores like Lowes and Home Depot offer different classes to learn simple building related skills. I went to one once with a child we built a birdhouse. Many high schools offer adult education courses, my mom took an evening art course and learned to do water color painting and she learned some rudimentary Spanish. Some of my local churches have women's groups that meet and plan activities like church suppers. One group of volunteers operates a small church thrift store, another has a group that organizes and staffs a big spring 2 day flea market, others have a church bazaar day, sort of like an outdoor carnival. One has a group of volunteers that works for a good part of the year to get donated items and items from parishioners for their annual Christmas bazaar. There is also a group of women at that church that work all year making hand crafted items to donate to be sold at the bazaar. You might also consider volunteering at someplace whose cause you support. Pet rescues and adoption centers often have spots for volunteers as do some pet stores. Public television stations often need volunteers during pledge drives and during regular operations as well to help with tasks like answering viewer services emails, returning phone calls, stuffing envelopes etc.. Food banks often need volunteers. Hospitals and senior living facilities often use volunteers to do tasks like manning the reception desk, answering general phone calls, working in the gift shop, etc.. Volunteering is a great way to serve your community, feel useful, and meet new people. If you can find a reason to leave your home and go out and about you may make friends or at the very least engage in activities that take you out of your home and give you something to focus on besides your own grief and loneliness. I hope my suggestions help in some way and that something resonates with you. In a world full of people none of us should be isolated and lonely unless we choose to. If I can help in any way let me know. ~ Hanna

Thank you so much Kyle. You are truly amazing in your ability to articulate such a difficult emotion. My grief is related to caring for my elderly Mom with cognitive decline. I call this experience “The Thousand Goodbyes”, as I see her slowly losing memory and function and independence. Simultaneously I have had to come to terms with radical acceptance of a relationship that will never be what I had hoped for. For me my faith is such a comfort, and the blessing of grandchildren. Thank you Kyle - I needed this today. I think God sent Jenny's story my way to prepare me for what was coming. My sister was just diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer that spread to her liver and lungs yesterday. My sister is in complete shock and hasn't reacted at all. I'm a freaking mess. Seeing how gracefully Jenny handled her journey and seeing her strength is giving me strength and hope. I hope that I can be as good of a support to my sister that you and Ashley were to Jenny !!! Thank you for showing me that people can get through this. I don't feel like I can handle losing my sister, so I'm trying my best to stay positive. My sister is the oldest and has been like a second mom to me. She is the strength of our family- she is the glue that keeps us all together and strong. But now she needs me to be the strong one. Thank you for showing us that you can be strong and have faith even when you feel scared and broken !!!

One of the things that I received from a Pastor. When I’m feeling overwhelmed is just stop, close my eyes and breathe in and while breathing in and out I say, “I breathe You in Holy Spirit. Your strength comes suddenly. Your peace fills me completely.” Right then, it happens and I instantly feel better. ❤

Grounding I think is so important for many reasons. It can keep you out of that drowning overwhelming feeling. It can keep you focused which isn’t always that easy. Focus on the here and now…sounds easy but it isn’t but the great thing like Kyle mentioned is even if you start small like a few minutes…that time will grow and in your ability to focus you can make better decisions, sleep better, be there for others and also it allows the moments that ebb and flow to be genuine in the moments that you really are lost without that person (but grounding will bring you back to the here and now with ease and not jerky). Kyle your thoughts were inspiring and super tools for all our toolboxes….great to have a grief toolbox to dig around in when you are lost…a tool can help your direction…use them. God Bless you for keeping all of this real and honest because I know how much you are still grieving..it hasn’t been that long. But yes you were blessed with Jenny’s wisdom ahead of time…But I think when you talk with Jenny she is there as you two were so close you almost kind of know what she would say or joke about and how she would feel. Thanks for taking the time and sharing. Continue your journey…keep the faith and it is a community and we are here for you also. Camping is going to be awesome..it brings good vibes! You might want to get Winnie some Pom poms so when she watches Ellis play she can be shaking them..she’d feel involved…just a thought. God Bless and always so proud of You and Ellis and Winnie✝️🤗❤️

Hey Kyle, you are helping others out there who are experiencing loss through your own grief. You may not know it but you have strength in buckets despite the mammoth responsibilities in front of you. People are disputing here whether to combine your channels. You do what’s right for you, however in saying that, I think your separate channel is you 💯. Jenny encouraged you that way. Amazing how this started with Jenny’s channel, and now you’re more comfortable infront of the camera. Thankyou for sharing your world Kyle. May God’s strength keep you strong, for He is always with you and your beautiful children.🇦🇺🩵💜💛

I agree with the deep grief being more on your channel and then family on Jenny’s but truly what ever feels right for you, here is a thought… I take my granddaughter to school every morning and pick her up, it’s about a 20 min drive… she is 7 and she always says can I watch Jenny because she loves your kids and loves seeing what you all are doing as a family and she does not understand the more grieving focused from an adult perspective, I feel like Jenny would be really happy to know that her kids are showing a child’s perspective of grieving and getting through this and doing the fun stuff… your kiddos are making friends and it’s really cool to see, I think other kids are relating to your kids and loss, we love you all and so many of us truly admire you Kyle, you inspire others more than you know!

The topics you speak on are so important. The faking it is exactly what I do, I pretend to enjoy my life now. I also have true insomnia and cannot sleep. I find myself up all night and I just can't fall asleep. I just feel like i'm moving through the twilight zone most of the time. Things just seem so different and like it will never be a good time again in my life. Life seems dull and mean.😶

Kyle, that was such an amazing video which I will keep in mind to recommend to others facing grief. I so believe in positivity and I am not always surrounded by like minded people. I am looking forward to hearing about some news you alluded to in your prior video. Jenny truly set you up for success to navigate this grief journey. What a blessing! Your love and respect for her touches all of our ❤❤. I really want my young adult daughter to watch your videos so she can see what to look for in an amazing spouse. So, so very proud of you Kyle.

Kyle, I’ve been following you for awhile now. You’re a good husband, a good father and doing well while learning to grieve Jenny’s loss. In less than 2 years, I lost a brother, a sister and just lost my mom. I just haven’t had time to properly grieve anyone. So much sickness, and death in a short time… it’s so fresh still. Your words and tips will definitely help me as I go forward. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts, ❤ You’re doing amazingly well❤️God bless!

My husband has been gone for two and a half years now and I still talk to him every day. Listening is also huge! It is amazing the insights and signs that are right there for us. When I was going through the worst of it I could ask him for help, for a sign, for some sense of relief and he would send it. Sometimes it’s as simple as believing. Sending so much love to you and to anyone else going through this painful process 💜

💕💕💕🥰 so proud of the work you are doing to help others … it takes time out of your life to share your experiences but I’m sure it’s encouraging and motivating to people watching ! Hope the kids got my happy mail I sent to the P.O. Box … I tried to make it exciting for them so they can smile and have fun with it and brighten up their day 🎁 I didn’t know you got the camper until after it was shipped and delivered lol but there’s something in there I think would look BEAUTIFUL in the camper and it’s one of my favourite sparkly things I have and love so much … Do what makes you happy !!! And maybe ask your close family you trust if they can donate time each week or month to come and do things on a list you have to help ! Even if you are at work … if they have a key they can come for 2 hrs and wash laundry and clean while clothes are washing or do some meal preps and cook food and then freeze it or put it in the fridge so you just have to warm it up for dinner and maybe have some easy breakfast foods made like banana bread or things that are healthier options and homemade and convenient !!! Maybe try to make a work schedule with family who can donate some time to help … and it gives them an opportunity to few good about themselves knowing they are doing good things and helping and allow them to have that because for some it makes them feel good when they can help others 😊 Love you all 💕

I as I’ve said before , not that I expect you to remember every single comment , that my family have struggled with loss of my husband’s mum 60 ish , sister 39 , sister 45 all died of breast cancer and I lost my dad Suddenly at 55 . My stepdad has lung cancer and has been going through this for 10 years on and off , now inoperable. You are right to talk it out and like you say you can be angry but that doesn’t mean you’re not aloud to remember what a truly wonderful wife you had and enjoy life as it does go on as unfair as it is ❤

Kyle, showing the grief process and letting people see you go through some of your grief is so important and so amazing!! Then talking about things to help people grieve...it is just so amazing. Losing your beautiful Jenny was such an awful thing but I know how proud she is of you for doing this!! We all need to talk about death and grief as we all have to go through it at times. So you are absolutely amazing for sharing all of this. I know how hard it is for you!! But you are doing such an amazing job with your grief and raising your 2 littles. Please just remember how proud Jenny is of you!!! Your followers are too. We are all here for you!

Turn to Jesus He loves you, He is the healer of the body And savior of the soul, There is True Hope in Jesus, God protects Psalms 91, He is the God of miracles Acts 2:21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Jesus alone saves Trust Him with your salvation John 3:16 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 Moreover Brethren, i declare unto you the gospel which i preached unto you, which also ye have received, and with wherein ye stand By which also ye are saved, if you keep in memory what i preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain, For i delivered unto you first of all that which i also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures, Take care
