Honestly, it looks like somehow they knew it was you. They allowed you to kill their two "rushing" accounts so you'd post a video on it, making people think they can do the same. However in reality you fell into their trap. They know your viewers will attempt to do the same, except there will be a max mage waiting on the other side instead of two afk "rushers". A 300 mil investment to get thousands of people to see how easy it is to anti scam, only takes one or two people to fall for it to turn a profit. I know you always warn people to not try this at home, but there will always be people who will attempt it after they see your easy success. Jagex could simply patch Shanty pass, Fishing guild, crafting guild, Farming guild and that would put a big stop to alot of their luring. It took them like 2 years just to patch Barb outpost but leave shanty pass the same way? A large portion of their luring heavily relies on these banks. They like it because the victim assumes the bank is safe, and so takes out their items.

way back in the day when armor trimming was a scam, I watched these two guys lure this poor santa wearing noob to the zamorak wine church. I was just pking a few minutes before so I was good to go. I ran north of the church, PM'd him to tell him what was going on and to just roll with it, I had his back and to let me know when they stepped in the wildy. Soon as they did, I rushed one of them, killing him almost instantly with a d-dagger spec, his buddy tried to save him. TB'd and tangled him, daggered him for a 35-38, red barred him but he got out. Luckily the first guy was the one i really wanted. Bro gave me a free blue phat and mask set. Gave the other guy the mask set and went on with my day, almost quadrupling my bank account in ten seconds. Told myself I'd keep that phat forever. Took an almost decade long break and found out how shit runescape became. Sold that phat for $3500 USD. That's right, I RWT that bish.

That was 100% just an attempt to make themselves look stupid so people try to antiscam. They gave you the gold outfit (WHICH THEY NEVER DO) just to get people to think they will be given the outfit if they play along, and they let you kill the two accounts to make themselves appear incompetent. In reality, they will take you to an unsafe bank like rogues den (all pvp) ask you to take items out, (u will do it because u'll think u will get 25m) and then once u take it out they'll just kill u right there before ever giving u the outfit.

I met a dude at TOA bank and we raided for weeks. Discord calls and all. Seemed like a pretty genuine dude. Out of the blue he sent me a screenshot of full torva on the ground outside of ferox. He had me log in under them while the guy “scrambled” to pick up the items. I had bad connection so I got in at a time he didn’t expect. His excitement in hindsight was definitely panic lol. The entire scenario was painted as an anti scam ofc. But this time I would go through the lure so that the “scammer” would drop the torva for him to log in under.

100% I lost 1.8b recently to a lure.. worst part about it is a friend who I'd made weeks before was actually in on it. We were talking at GE, another account approached saying "drop giveaway, follow" and my friend called me on discord, said he'd login under the guy when he dropped.. the lurer traded me but turns out it was another account outside of the safezone. Man i remember having 10 million GP as a kid back around 2007. I would spend days mining rune essence, coal, and flipping trades on the forums and trade worlds. When my irl friends got me to start playing WoW, I ended up giving all but something like 250k to an in-game friend. Figured if I ever ended up wanting to play again 250k would me more than enough to start trading my way back up again. Might have to try recovering that old account just to see how it's doing.

They pretended to be AFK and really dumb. As you've mentioned before, these guys are usually very smart educated people and I think they are manipulating all the viewers to think they can do this. 272M is nothing to lose, if just one of us goes and tries this.
