Definitely my favorite foundation. I've never broken out using it and I found if I use my fingers, it covers areas that are red from acne better.

I love the Dream Matte Foundation. I have been using it since 2010. It is the only foundation that I can build up to full coverage and doesn't slide off or feel heavy on my excessively oily skin. I just ordered the iT cosmetics bye bye foundation kit and looking forward to trying that out. I currently use the Dream Matte Mouse in honey beige level 4.

Melissa Windsor the iT foundation was a total fail. It looked greasy and melted off my face by the end of day. I will stick with my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse until they discontinue it like every other Mabelline foundation that I have loved.

I have to disagree about the it foundation. So far it has been the best foundation I have ever used. It is long lasting and doesn't settle into fine lines. This matte stuff looked like it was caked on and felt very heavy on my face. I'm going to stick to the it foundation

i use dream matte mousse for over 10yrs now. i've tried other (liquid) foundations but i just never liked how they look/feel on my skin. i like it as natural as possible. this is the first time i googled it and i didn't know that people don't like it.. and i couldn't care less cause i love everything about it ;) i actually wanted to see how other people apply it because i'm always just using my fingers.. while i have exactly this RT buffing brush but never used it lol (why?!). i'm gonna try this out asap. thanks for the video. psylanja I have been using this for over ten years too and I was shocked that it didn’t become an hg product for more people. It’s basically like a blurring primer and foundation in one. I’ve found that it looks best when applied with the fingers...but I plan to revisit applying with a brush and beauty sponge just for an updated test.

I LOVE this foundation. It makes me feel airbrushed. I use a flat top brush too, an elf kabuki just slightly bigger than urs with no handle. I dot it over my face with my fingers first and then buff it in with the brush. It takes no time and blends flawlessly. Ive tried many liquid foundations an never found one that comes close aside from the Marc Jacobs Shameless Youthful Look which is wayyy too expensive for me and I actually prefer Dream Matte Mousse.

I use this mousse....... I have dry skin. it caked at first but then I figured scrubbing my face helped and I also apply little baby oil before applying mousse that gives it that dewy finish

I love this foundation too. I've spent a lot of money using high end foundations but it's only Dream Matte Mousse which gives me a full coverage - I have heavy freckles and it's the only one to give me a blank canvas without caking.

It's funny. Maybelline Dream Mousse is basically a pore-filling primer with pigment but all the makeup "gurus" spend a fortune on primer and expensive foundations separately.

Melanie Chapman I was just thinking the same thing!! The dream mousse reminds me a lot of Benefit’s Porefessional and Cover FX’s blurring/mattifying primer (all have the same main ingredient). I love blurring/filling primers so the dream mousse foundation is a dream come true for me, it’s basically 2 in 1. During my oily years this was my hg foundation (before primers even existed) and I still keep it in at 3 different shades now, I’m always nervous it will be discontinued. I’ve used a plethora of high end foundations and the dream mousse still remains one of my faves. I never understood why other people didn’t rave about it like I did.

I love this foundation as well! have been using it for about 7 years now. Tried others but always end up coming back to it. It's not greasy and doesn't make me break out like others. I use no7 beautiful skin day cream first then maybelline's master contour then finally rimmel London's stay matte pressed powder. Don't know why but I always used my fingers to apply it, just tried with a brush and looks like it will last a lot longer now thanks so much xxx

My favourite foundation is Le Touché Eclat Le Teint by YSL but I remember having this foundation as a teen and the colour was off because I’m super pale. That’s the only downside of it. I liked the formula of a mousse and love the finish but because of poor shade range it wasn’t what I was looking for. The Touché Eclat one makes my skin super radiant and healthy! But it’s sooo expensive 😩 haha You can’t go wrong with Maybelline it’s a great brand the prices are right and the quality is there.

Max Factor/Covergirl whipped creme, Revlon Colorstay whipped creme, Essence soft touch mousse, something else? Anna Lehtinen I've actually not tried any other mousse foundations sorry, I use liquid the majority of the time just because I find it quickest for building up coverage. Yes, definitely better later than never :-P x

I don't know what shade you would need, I am only familiar with my shade. You can use it with dry skin as long as you prepare your skin - exfoliate and intense moisturiser!

Nice video. You seem to be a regular user of this mousse, I have the same mousse since 2011. It has now stopped giving me that covered look. Do u think It is expired now? It didn't had any expiry date. But I use it just for parties or weddings cause I don't do makeup usually. Please help.

I don't think you can really use it now. If you tried to rehydrate it, it wouldn't be a mousse any more and would probably go runny.

you don't use a brush to apply the mousse. you will use the whole thing trying to do that. put it on the face first, then blend
