How I Assembly Dib's Yard Shunting Layout For Exhibitions

This video shows the component parts of Dib's Yard and a view of how to set the layout up at an exhibition.
The target audience of this video is purely those who are soon to help me set up and run Dib's Yard at an exhibition. I doubt many viewers will find this video of use to them, but it may be handy for anyone who is looking to exhibit their own layout, or thinking of building a small shunting layout for exhibition. Maybe something I cover here will help them with questions they have.

Would love to catch you at an exhibition, but I doubt you’d be up this far north. Quite a lot of kit there. Very interesting all the same and good to get another close up of your superb layout 👋

Ahh thank you for your kind comments, man! No, I am on the south coast and unlikely to get booked for exhibitions up north when there are already many, many amazing layout on the exhibition circuit up there.

Interesting to see thanks for sharing. Is there a walk through of the way you did the electrics? If that is a real smokey Joe, how come it's not sped off at 500mph!??? 😂😂

The electrics is all old-skool analogue, using isolated sections. The smokey Joe has an N20 motor conversion. Only 300 rpm at full speed!

Excellent video. I say that because the only option I have to create my own layout is to use the 2nd/guest bedroom. As such it will have to be portable/exhibition-esque and stored elsewhere when required. But(!) there is so little info out there about creating such things. Heck, I attended the recent MR Scotland exhibition recently and spent as much time trying to photograph the back of layouts as I did the front. So a heartfelt thanks (and subscribe) for this insight. Suffice to say, I'll be trawling your back catalog of KZbin vids for more insights 😊
