Brilliant video Alex. My avoidance for creative burnout is meeting different people and fixing their computers. Sauna definitely helps.

Incredibly humbling video and good to recognise the inner struggle that accompanies burnout can be overcome by routine. Walking is my bag, when my brain thoughts become tightly wound and knotted I head out into the wild and just walk until everything unravels. Thanks for sharing this Alex.

Hey man, thank you for being inspiring. You are the only "adventure" photographer that I still care about. There's certain humanity that you put into your work that sets you apart from all these other pretty pictures so many others produce. Their images are all beautiful, technically flawless and perfectly edited but they lack that certain aspect of real life and at the end are pretty boring. I think your struggle and reflection produces that work with the hint of humanity and real life (which isn't always perfect in my option but the reason why I enjoy it so much). As a full time professional photographer (different genre) I totally get the struggle with burnout and seeing this elevated my mood a lot today and got me thinking about how I should go about my day and work for the days to come. Cheers mate!

Alex, your take on this subject is refreshing to watch and listen. I've long made excuses for lack of creativity and that I'm just in the wrong place to find my rhythm. Your advice is easy to follow and proof that the simplest things can make the biggest impact. Thanks, Alex!

Wonderful video, Alex. Just came from sauna and wish there was place to dip in the water near enough. Being a Finn I go to the sauna as often as possible and feel relaxed and energized afterward. It is in a way a form of meditation.

@@alexstrohl It is indeed my favorite temperature in an "electric sauna". If it is a wood heated sauna it can be much higher as the heat feels different due to the humidity and amount of air.

Due to high life pace you want to keep up and struggle to stay super active. Sometimes it's better to sit back, relax and enjoy the little things that make your life beautiful. Feeling burnout is a way that your brain tells you to stop worry and try to enjoy what you're doing. I think this "burnout effect" can apply at many aspects of life, not only in photography.
