I was a midwife for 27 years, so I would see patients during the day, and many times delivered babies at night. I would only deliver 6 babies a month (which doesn’t sound like much), but on my “down” times, I still was on call. I would be there for my children and husband. The point is; I developed a nasty sleep disorder (which took years to absolve). It is not a surprise, that I got sick. I actually got chronically ill, and was diagnosed with a debilitating pain disorder. My first steps to healing was understanding the power of sleep. Do whatever it takes to get sleep 💤 💤💤

I have a disease that causes among other things, muscular dystrophy type muscle loss. And you're doing just great, I can tell! Your kiddo is getting to an age where soon she'll wasn't to start being more independent. I know this is so hard to balance and is something I struggle with still at 22. Mentally I know I can be independent, but my body doesn't let me be. I was stubborn and insisted I struggled alone for a while and my mum knew she had to let that happen. Eventually I learnt how to accept help but make boundaries to mentally be okay with needing help with some stuff but still having things I tough it out alone, so I know I can have that sliver of independence still. Sorry this became an essay! At that age was when the conflict with my mum started and she initially didn't understand and felt like I was personally rejecting her (help) but if I can do 1 thing I'd love to prevent that years of upset for someone else

Little info that you can totally decide to overlook if you want, but studies showed that it’s better to drink a little bit of alcohol every day than either not at all or a lot on for example a specific day/weekend during a month. We’re talking about 5 ounce of red wine per day for ladies two times a day! Have a good day and I will try to link a video about it! 😃 Of course this does not apply to people who have struggled with alcohol abuse in the past or right now (unless they can limit their consumption to what is recommended and no more ;))

I'm a caretaker for my father. I really needed to see this. I got extremely sick last year because of lack of sleep, stress trying to keep my dad healthy, and also burning the candle at both ends. Exercise, work, study, animal rescue, and then trying to work in simple recreation. It was horrific and i ended up losing thirty pounds from back to back to back sickness. Thank you for this. To anyone reading this, I speak from experience when I say exercise is not the (first) answer. I tried to be Iron Man. Cold showers and consistent work out schedule... But it was all faulty because I couldnt rest. I worked myself to an anxious and then panicked frenzy trying to make sure everything was okay when I was the only one who was not. Exercise not only could not help that, it was one of the final things that broke me. Please, for the love of your loved ones, relax. Rest. And keep peace in your mind.
