People who hold malevolence or bitterness towards the world usually despise people who not only seem to have good things coming to them, but also seem like genuinely good people. I used to be like that and I've climbed out of that dark place with the help of genuinely good people who I still treasure as great friends. I think the story of Cain and Abel really shows what cultivating such malevolence leads to. If you want more modern example then you can look at mass shootings.

If you didn't enjoy the process you would only do it short term until it becomes irritating and hence see no progress. Obsessing over the progress will only make you upset and insecure about how slow progress may be towards the goal.

I really like your mindset! Your channel is great and full of empowering content; for me the key to happiness has always been accepting oneself first and foremost and making the best of your possibilities (“weaknesses” included!) Difference makes us unique, beautiful beings! How can’t we see that when it’s so clear? Well, because society (or, to be fair, the economic interests beneath it) wants us puzzled, confused, incomplete. If there is a desperate lack of something in our lives, it will be easier for them to convince us of buying stupid stuff we don’t need with which to patch it. But that’s never gonna work, it eventually leads to dissatisfaction and depression. People should definitely engage in long term projects, the most important being self love and self care. We are going to spend our lives with ourselves, so why not being a “good guest”? Think healthy, be healthy. Thank you for your great advices (not only regarding exercise) and keep up the great job!

Thanks for motivation! I came to similar (or exact) conclusion about three weeks ago. During last 3 or 4 years there have been several times (not only around New Year) when I've started these "x pushups in y days", "gain abs in xx days", "planking training program for 30 days", etc. And usually I started some 3 or 4 programs at the same time, because, well, I'm as strong as a wet noodle and wanted to get in some kind of shape. And without exception, I usually "survived" for around 3-4 weeks (longest being 6 weeks). Then it either became too hard for me (I had slower progress than program was built for) and I lost motivation or I got lazy and skipped day which turned into skipped months.. Butt... in December (three weeks ago) I started to lift dumbbells. Just relatively miserable amounts of weight with even lower reps. Yet- now I don't have any exact aim. Just to be more healthy and a bit stronger. Sometimes I lift less than previous day, but it doesn't bother me as I'm not "falling behind". And to make it more interesting and to have additional motivation, I log everything in excel sheet to see my progress. And there is some progress. :D Need couple more weeks of just dumbbells routine, before I add some squats, abs, pushups. Thanks for reading and sorry for Engrish. Happy New Year!

Probably the first KZbinr I've watched that actually made me hit the bell so I can be notified of his videos. Rooting for you in 2021!

I wish you a lot of grow this year you definitelly deserve it, since I discovered your channel a month ago I started working out every day, first video i saw was anyone can do pushups and it changed my mind forever, it is better to start slowly but be persistant because one day I will be able to perform all those hard variations. Thanks for inspiration. Have a Beautiful Year as well!

I'm honestly trying to gain more weight in muscle. And these shorts you make help me a ton. So I'm positive that I can reach my New Year's Resolution. 😁
