Love your channel! I’ve been a CMA for a year now. My 1st position was a temporary job at a neuro center doing scheduling. I’m now working at a major hospital in the lab as a medical laboratory assistant. I draw blood, receive specimens, & centrifuge certain things... and I LOVE it way more than working with patients. I see so much and every day is different. I’m going back for my bachelors in medical lab science 🙂

A lot of schools around me that offer MA programs cost between $16,000-$20,000 for 9-12 months and there are the rare few that are $3,000- $8,000 and are 4-6 months long. I’m having difficulty choosing a school as I want one that’s affordable and is actually worth going to.
@aznisles3 жыл бұрын
I'd look for an apprenticeship and not pay any tuition at all. If you can't find one, go for the cheapest option with decent Google reviews. Just make sure the school you're looking at is accredited and guarantees externship/internship/clinical placement. MA wages aren't the best, so I wouldn't spend more than 6 months and $5k to train for a job that rarely pays over $20. Anything longer than 6 months I'd suggest going for practical nursing (unless of course, you're able to find an MA apprenticeship). It'll probably cost another $10k, but it's still only a year of schooling and LPNs make almost double that of CMAs on average. Even if you have to take out student loans, an LPN won't have trouble paying them off (assuming you successfully graduate).

Watching this video made me miss my technical school so bad! I went for Digital Media where we learned how to use professional camera equipment and make videos/films. I’m still best friends with all my classmates! It was the best experience ever! Watching this made me think about going back to do an MA class though! I’ve tried going to a university after my tech school, but it is just a whole different environment and I HATED it. I actually dropped out TWICE! Tech school is definitely the way to go.

My highschool offers a 1 year MA program for free and I’m thinking about taking it my Senoir year so I can have a job while in college to become a Physical Therapist. Do you think I would be taking on too much or it would be a smart source of income while in school?

Lots of community colleges don't need act scores and are cheaper than 4 year schools and some around me offer MA, I am planning on working while going to school for MA, I wanna get my associates degree or just my license for it idk, I want a better job with job security and an increase in pay than what I'm making now, I hate school as well, like in high school I loved school I loved learning and I read a lot and did 3 clubs and was also involved in church with choir, but when I first went to college I started at community college lived on campus which was a huge mistake, and I had the intention of transferring to a 4 year school, but I got depressed and lazy and dropped out so then I just did jobs, I've been at my current job for 3 almost 4 years and I wanna do something more now that I'm 26

@@trishslone893 Check to see if your local state schools offer continuing education/workforce development. Non-credit continuing education courses at a community college are super cheap. Even better is if you can find an apprenticeship where you don't pay any tuition and fees, just for supplies. Try searching the name of your closest public school + "apprenticeship program" and see what pops up.
