I like how you delve into the psychological aspects of living in a foreign country. I've been living in China for close to a decade. Let's just say, I've seen a lot. Like this guy living in Japan said, Japan will not fix you. I think the same applies to any other place on earth. If you're moving to Thailand or anywhere else to escape from yourself, it will catch up to you, sooner or later.

Man, I've been living in China for close to a decade and I've seen a lot! People coming and going, having difficult time adjusting. Honeymoon coming to a screeching halt. Police being called on expats for flipping out and smashing things. Yes, it's easy to get lost. I've been to Phuket a bunch of times and it is also an escape of sorts for me. Well, if you're gonna drink yourself to death or just get completely lost, Thailand is not the worst place to do it in.@@jameswright8529

Surprised this video isn't blowing up. It's the classic cautionary tale of a foreigner losing everything in Thailand over a girl. Hits two birds: gives those who've made similar mistakes a way to feel superior, while giving others a valid cope to not return to Thailand. I have never experienced anything like that in Thailand, but maybe it happens when I get older.

I assume it was Peter, whose own style of storytelling is quite tedious and there's nothing to look at except his ruddy face. He seems to think he invented this storytelling thing whereas at least I put a bit more work in, but this ain't a competition, and unlike him, I am not exclusively a storytelling channel, his inflated superior ego would like to think I do these stories because of him. Have I ever claimed these stories are 100% true? No because I often have to add bits in to fill the story and paint a picture. But there are a couple of channels that I'm sure do rip off his stories and just alter the odd detail here and there, but if they have to resort to that then they deserve to be called out on it.
