idk in unionizing would work, we are "at will" employees, and in the contract it says they can change rules at anytime for any reason, it basically says drivers have no say or power in anything, so there are no rules that unions could enforce to make sure drivers are treated well.

The way I organized my packages is by the driver aid number, specifically the last two numbers. I would organized the 40s with one pile, 30s in one pile and 20s in one pile. Takes me about two minute. Also, with driver aid numbers that have letters on it, I would set those all together. Normally, I would get like 30 packages on the average. Less stress then just digging in the tote trying to find the right one.

I just started working for Amazon, your way certainly worked the best. I had 170 stops and was done in 6 hours using your method. Then I’ll be on standby chilling for an hour, if they don’t need a rescue I can go back to the station. I’ve had to rescue three people on my first week. I started on the 16th of this month and was driving on the 20th. So my DSP told me if I keep doing what I’m doing and being consistent. I’ll be receiving Driver of the month within my first month. Which they’ve said never has happened before. So thank you! Your comment helped me on my first day route. I was super nervous going on. I couldn't disagree more about Van size... the little guys significantly reduce your backing risk. They can pivot and turn 180 degrees on almost any street. I organize by the streets when I'm in a cargo van, but in a step van, I like to organize at least 4 totes and have them in order by the yellow sticker so much quicker, just to grab and go. The seat belt thing is cool, but if the cops pull you over, that's a big ticket from DOT lol. Great Vid man. I think I'll leave the warehouse and return back to driving. I miss the solo work grind and being out in the wild.

The seatbelt trick depends a bit on the situation. If you know your next few stops are very close, then I wouldn't even blame you for not wearing the seatbelt at all. But if I have to go over 30 mph or 50kmh then I'm always wearing my seatbelt correctly.

sum ppl who 1st start think its a cakewalk & take their sweet time but afterwhile, realize theres just too many packages and the volume/customer ordering never stops. Long legs help! lol also i used to look over the areas i was being sent to & do the streets/neighborhoods that had bad parking at certain times and go do those 1st so yes, i would go out of order. some streets are bad to park on when people are coming home from work (5pm-7). then i'd make sure i'd do the hills homes during daylight. nothing worse than delivering in the mountains when its pitch black. then for last i'd do my easier homes with short driveways/regular customers that i know like the back of my hand✌🏼

I always empty my first bag and use it as a table in my passenger seat. (I prioritize myself before other drivers who haven’t loaded up yet.) But when I’m done I do help others. I use it for non boxes(bags, envelopes, etc. It has cut down so much time.

I honestly never organized, I would just dump all packages in the front seat in the cargo van. Before netradyne I would find the package on the drive to the house and was able to do 180-190 stops in 3 hours (if it was an all house route)

On a CDV i empty like 8-10 totes at a time so i dont follow the stops on the list, i just use the Map. I just deliver my 1st stop and go to launch (30 mins) rightaway so i can orginize all the packages, then at the end of my route i use my 2 15's and my original 30 mins 🤣

You have a lot of great tips for going faster, but, the one tip I will have to disagree with you on is the seat belt. In my 3 years of delivering, I've seen driver netrodyn cam videos of crashes and accidents, and that lap belt is vary important. We've had 1 driver get ejected from their van while only wearing the shoulder without the lap belt and vary lucky and fortunate to still be with us today. Other than that, great tips! Keep doing what your doing (besides the lap belt imo) and always stay safe!

I’m starting my group interview soon and I’m wondering could you do a video with a more visible (detailed way) of how you organize the totes cause I don’t really understand how you mean?… and I really wanna use your method when I start working at Amazon on how to be more organized… it would be awesome if you could even if you did a video showing it to us on a drawing or something of that sort. Greatly appreciate your help and love your videos. 👍🏽👌🏽❤

I dont understand how u and some people do so many in a day. Im in my second week and like today i had 164 stops. I stay organised. It takes me like seconds to grab my packages and go.I dont take breaks and i walk quick. But still needed someone to grab 1 tote out of like 12. Start at 11am, by the time we get on road its like almost 12 and they want us back by like 7:30-8:30. I dont know how i can get faster. Also today EVERY house had like 30 stairs up to front door. So good job.

I've been a delivery driver for about 3 years now, right now we have probably the worst route possible lol. i thought having 150-190 stops was bad but man, when you've got 150 stops and 70+ multiple locations with apartments, businesses, and little gated town home communities with a narrow dead end street, and residential stops in one day you really have like 300 deliveries or more and it is just awful. Our DSP has been putting pressure on us to be back at the station by 7:30pm and we dont get on the road til 11am. Having these routes make me miss the 150-190 deliveries with almost 0 multiple locations lol but i still enjoy delivering and get done at decent time so im also able to go rescue.

I start driving tomorrow and I noticed you leave the doors open and truck unlocked when delivering a package 20 ft away ... I asked about that today and my DSP told me the vehicle must be shut and locked and vehicle off for every single stop . Even if the house is right infront of you . All these tips would be so helpful but I'm nervous to do any because of the 270° cameras on me at all times lol 😂 I want to do the best job I can but I just find that some places I shouldn't have to turn off vehicle like being right infront of it . But rules are rules . All your tips are so helpful . I'm nervous but excited !!

it all depends on your DSP, for us we only have the little sprinters and i always have my side door open wide and keys in the ignition, unless im going inside a building, i never get talked to about it. But some dsps will check that stuff, id say ask some other drivers if they do that and then go off of that. Also keep in mind safety, if you are in a bad neighborhood then always keep it secure. For me though our vans are so crap half of them cant shut or lock properly so it doesnt matter
