No placing spawn flags/bear traps/spikes that are intended to kill/protect objective. 5. No extra weapons besides Lute/Shawm 6. Dont destroy buildables, especially the enemy teams. main bard rules are widely accepted as kill on sight if broken. lesser rules are at discretion and not everyone views them the same. killin a bard thats following the rules usually will get you kicked, especially if your team is enjoying said bard.

As an archer main myself, i alway respect *any* archer more than a melee fighter. Archers don't use animation abuse. Archers don't spam annoying floppish or German voice, at least you don't hear them from far away. Archers don't taunt you in chat for playing as archer, they also do not complain in chat about being killed with an arrow and not the sword, even though they are one-shot kill for other archers. And once again, if anything else is false, *at* *least* *they* *don't* *use* *animation* *abuse*, like Accels and Drags. Archers are the most honourable players in the Mordhau, archer duel doesn't take luck or literally game breaking manipulating of animations, only aiming skill, timing and cold mind on the shoulders. You should respect archers, because there are many reasons to do so.

I'm not a new player here, and i do know what to do to deal with your type of players, but it's not making swing manipulation any more fair. I didn't learn how to utilize it, specifically because i consider it unfair, yet i know how to deal with it, so your attempt of addressing my ego that you are worried so much about was faulty. Why i call it animation abuse, and why i think it is an exploit, is because Mordhau NEVER teaches newcomers to deal with swing manipulation. It never even addresses it's very existence. And, unlike poorly timed morphs or feints with their stamina cost, swing manipulation doesn't get punished at all, as you xan combo out of it and continue swinging. And as the cherry on top of cake, it looks drastically different from any other animations in game, movements of player model during some strong swim manipulation are "crunchy" and far less smooth and polished than rest of the animation set. Aside from your unnecessary attempt to make conversation personal, what can you ACTUALLY say in defense of this "intended" mechanic? You say that it's balanced - i say that it's not punished by any in-game means, you say that it takes skill - i say that even if memorising all 211 types of these "ultrawide-alpha-cucumber-drags" does take effort, it's not THAT hard, in my experience, it's often enough to simply move your mouse in opposite direction of your swing, sometimes effects of this are disgustingly lethal. You say that it is intended - i say that it is never addressed by the game itself, in training or in game's loading screen hints, so the only thing that player who did not read 50 guides and watched 50 videos about Mordhau deep melee mechanics and traits (or paid a bunch of bucks to stouty for an in-depth training in abusing animations and dealing with said abuse) will see is a guy who just punches through all his parries with no reason. Definitely intended. Why i specifically bring it up is because Chivalry 2 actually DID address swing manipulation, so newcomers there are *supposed* to know about that, the game gives the basic yet still meaningful training of using accels. It looks like it is intended there, and it does not look like that in Mordhau. So all i see in your reply is a truly *incredible* cope of a man who points on someone and calls him childish and egocentric because he points out flaws in abused and exploited combat system. And possibly for being an acher (which is not very surprising for me). At the end i will say it again: even if you can call memorising and learning all types of janky-looking, unpunished stamina-wise, untelegraphed visually or audially and generally feeling like unintended oversight drags and accels a "skill", you cannot deny that when somebody puts an arrow in your head you was able to notice archer with your situational awareness skill, block his arrow with your decent combat skill and good timing or dodging it with your footwork skill. You had all chances of not being killed by archer, yet he did outsmarted your situational awareness by his good positioning skill, targeted an arrow directly in your moving head by aim, predicting the dodge attempt or shooting an arrow between your parries with his own good timing. It's all an actual general skills that are used not only by them but also by all players, and they ALL are in basic training course the game has. You do learn how to dodge there, you do learn how to time your parry well there, and you do learn how to shoot and predict movements there. That's why i call archers the most fair, honest and honourable players in Mordhau. Their art is easy to learn, yet hard to master, and all what you need for it is concealed in game's training course. Unlike swing manipulation.

Rats like this are very needed against pubstompers. They don't allow us to mindlessly hack into a 1vX. By being the scumbags they are, piling projectiles onto us even when we're outnumbered, it forces us to play smarter and stop feeding on the poor souls who are learning melee. Ofc as a top score player, this infuriates me, and will make me automatically switch into "seethe, cope and focus the rat" mode, but it's better that way tbh. Else frontline and invasion would devolve into what brawl is, aka a competition of who LMBs spams large two-handers the most. If you're using this against low levels though, you deserve Hell and worse.

I prefer Chivalry over Mordhau for.. a lot of reasons, really. Though, as such I am also not really aware of the most common type of gamemode in Mordhau. If it has anything more than just team deathmatch maps, like objectives.. Wouldn't be firing at any opponents more useful? And personally, especially in objective-based maps. Fuck duels. Its not a duel-only server. You will get stabbed in the back, a lot. ..Then again, that's Chivalry experience speaking. "Duels" there are not exactly a thing to occur in a 64 on 64 player battlefield. Others will come to your aid, whether you want to or not (or the other way round). ..yes im aware archers are disliked in Chivalry too but it seems Mordhau always takes it one step up in everything, in the bad way.

Yeah, only low levels really care about 1v1ing in Team deathmatch style maps, all the veteran players just run around having a good time backstabbing people and clearing out spawns. If we want to 1v1 we'll join a duel server. Although generally, if I see two guys 1v1ing, I'll let them be if they're noobs, if not I'll start the 1vx.

I agree with you, if you see the duel going on in Mordhau invasion/frontline (objective modes) server, it is only up to you to either leave the duelling guys alone or join them. If it's a dedicated dueling server - that's a different story, but in usual team gamemodes you are NEVER guaranteed that everyone will respect the duels. I say that as an archer who mostly work for the objective. And while i tend to not interfere with any duelling people or with any silly bards or dancing goofy jesters, I haven't come here to Mordhau to follow "unspoken rules" of melee fighters, j've come here to fight for victory. And if a bard or dueller is preventing me from capping a last objective, i won't hesitate to shoot him in a head with crossbow.
