Really enjoyed seeing the cards more importantly learning more about geez Mikey and what shapes him. The mantle is beautiful brother I plan to someday own one myself. My father was 10 years old and a yankee fan when this card came up he remembers having multiple copies of it...breaks my heart! Other vintage are awesome too...one day at a time brother you will build your collection even better than before!

life can take a different direction in a snap of a fingers. I realized that during my injury, however.. I'm walking good, collecting again, and I opened up my own air conditioning business last year. things always work out for a reason, my favorite part I get to do what I like doing for work again! cheers sir, enjoy that snow!

Awesome story man, I too lost most of my collection, water leak. Started all over, 6 months ago, I was absolutely sick. I had 60'&61' mantles, now in dump. Great cards, and a rookie mantle, wow!

I got disabled I collected since 75 and I got hurt in 92 I had to sell my collection to live on for a few years and am trying to collect again since a cant do the stuff i use to do , i know love the 52 mantle i never had that card i had all his other ones and some comics i had to get rid of , 181 hulk , house of mystery with 1st swamp thing and my #4 and my 13 spiderman hurt to get rid of so all my 50 to 90 baseball i had to pay for Bill's, but trying to collect again fun to get some of the ones i started the 75 topps was first store bought but my 71 topps is first cards i ever had from a old house that was being torn down they were in a suitcase in yard i found it was best card find i ever had a whole suitcase full of 71 as a kid

fuuuh, I would've cried! and stopped collecting. I was doing the math a few years ago, when I would go dee jay, I would take about $5,000 worth of records just to dj a 45 minute set. I always said to myself if that ever got stolen I was done. luckily it hasn't happened *knock on wood* but man that sucks, sorry to hear that!

So I never have any regrets when I sell a collection and get a grail. I reverse the deal in my mind and say “would I trade this grail for that collection?” Usually the answer is no.

at the time when i bought my mantle, i paid $7500 for it. the same fella had a PSA 5 mantle, and he was asking $30k for it.. Sure hoped he saved it lol again this was back in i think 2014sh???

I realize this is 4yo and i couldn't zoom the video, but that's not a Type 1 '52 Mantle for sure. Sadly, it is also NOT a real '52 Mantle Type 2. It doesn't have the missing pixel near the left border at eye level?? 100% of Type 2 Mantle's have that imperfection. And it's PSA graded??? WoW. Seeing as you sold 98% of your collection to get this, I hope I'm wrong in this instance. 🙏

i had it varified by several people when i bought it including some members of psa at a show along time ago, im pretty confident its original, i buy alot vintage and 52 topps cards too, the reprints and fakes in that set or vintage are very noticeable in any vintage set for the most part.

Again, I hope you're right. You seem like a good dude, but these jackasses selling fakes are ruining it for people like us. Not sure if the attachment got pinned, but there are several sites that point out how to spot a fake Type 2 Mantle. PSA isn't the impartial company when it comes to the high end cards! those are extremely nice love gerig that's a Berk Ross DiMaggio I like the Berk rosses and the other not so well know company the DiMaggio I have is a 37 opee chee which of course is the Canadian baseball card company

yeah got lucky to find it I have back problems too card collecting has helped keeping my mind off the pain only mantles I get are the ones I need for my set cause there ridiculously expensive so I PC other players like campanella and Hank Greenberg Willie mays Clemente so ya man keep it collecting can really help people esp peeps who went to games with there dad's it brings back those memories
