I worked for Sarah for 5 years. She came from nothing. To get in to Harvard Business School, She killed herself studying for the GRE for 2 years. She also killed herself studying in college. That is Sarah's "secret". Hard work. She is the most assiduous woman I've ever met. She is also one of the most generous people I've ever met. She paid for my entire family's health insurance when my husband lost his job and paid for my kid's soccer camp. The only thing bigger than her hustle is her heart.

Never seen this channel, and certainly never heard of Sarah Moore. 1 Hour later, I'm a huge fan of both. There's a lot of "success story" fluff you get forced to watch in business school, I wish I could make them add this to the curriculum. I also love how well she demonstrates that your value has nothing to do with your background, experience, or resources. What you're capable of achieving in this country is up to YOU and you alone. Kudos Sarah and thank you Shaan for getting her on the podcast!

And treats it like a positive sum game. Wealth is attracted to that. Nothing makes wealth melt away faster, than a corporation run by leadership that sees business as negative or neutral sum. It's positive sum. We continue to build infrastructure on top of previous infrastructure, and we continue to get more efficient. When we start sending ships into the cosmos (possibly after our lifespan), it's going to be the biggest economic revolution since the concept of the assembly line.

This woman could have been related to me (metaphorically). She hasn't lost her edge and that only comes from real struggle. Her power and strength is a result of coming out the other side of such a life that was constant struggle. This maybe the best interview I've ever watched, not because of the financial gains she's made but because of the humanity and hope it inspires. Coming from a simular background, having some financial success myself. The most success I've been fortunate enough to achieve is speaking with previous employees with simular backgrounds that have come back to thank me for giving them my time and belief that they could be better than where they came from. I wish this woman nothing but success and hope some day I have a need for egg cartons so I can support her.

Absolutely LOVED this!!!Some questions I wasn’t clear on, during the hustle and grind phase…How many hours a day/days a week, and how many years did you put into the search for the egg business? Did you buy any other businesses before this one? Thank you for sharing story with us!!!!

Ok this is a great story but she didn’t “not have anything but my car” . She had a Harvard MBA and all the contacts, experiences, confidence and credibility that comes with that. So yeah, cool she took all that and applied it , with the help of others , to get herself a job that suited her nature and utilized her distilled education and internal resources. I get it. I became an emancipated minor with a GED , left home at 15, found a co-signer in a friend of my alcoholic mother, had 10k from my fathers death, got a second mortgage and bought my first house at 19. Then I rented two rooms out and paid nothing myself while I finished beauty school then worked for 20$ a day as an assistant before being allowed on the floor. When you have to, you do. No one has yet to splash my story all over the internet, but that could still happen.. 😂

What year did all this happen? That's practically impossible now, with the way real estate market is.

Out of over 100 entrepreneur interviews this is actually the one most helpful on how it could work out step-by-step. Great and interesting! Thank you both of you!

Hang on, hang on, hang on. How can you get a $1 million loan having no money?? Normally it would be impossible to get a credit card with more than $1000 in credit for someone with absolutely no money. Can you explain please?

well, considering she cheated on the SAT, used fake ids from other alumni, spammed and used risque outfits at all male broker meetings, perhaps there's more to the story...

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. A trader made over $350k in this recession influenced market.

That's awesome!!! I know nothing about investment and I'm keen on getting started. What are some strategies to get started?

you don't make it anywhere without someone's help in this world. Sarah's was way more then a lot of people get which is just sad because it was much later in her life. Her story is a tough beginning. Sometimes a change of fate is someone more fortunate helping you out.

My question is, how do you have "no money, no experience" but still get into Harvard Business School? That part doesn't make sense to me. Northeastern is not exactly a top tier school and i always thought at least 2 years work experience was the standard to get into MBA programs?
@yuliyahrybachova647310 ай бұрын
I thought the same! But her story is still amazing

cheated on the SAT (but even that still not sure how she got in), unpaid free interns, wealthy couple pays for her college, fake ids from alumni. Seems to be a pattern here. What if she didn't really go to Harvard?

Reginald Lewis got into Harvard without any of that. And he didn’t even apply. He got accepted first and then he applied for formalities sake. Nothing is impossible to him who believes

I love that she says she looks at every little thing as a business because I do the same exact thing. The motivation to figure it all out for myself is strong now, I needed this story! Thank you.

Incredibly inspiring story. Listened twice back to back. Struggling in entrepreneurship at the moment and this was very inspiring to me... right on the edge, fall back or fall forward... hearing Sarah's story helped me to get a grip, focus and press on. I will have a story worth telling. Part of it will be "one helping one" as many times as I can. This was a great podcast! Thank you both.
