Really informative thank you! Im just wondering if you can show us how to setup this camera to directly record from computer, for content creators. As per my research you can do it either via USB C or HDMI. But for some reason connecting HDMI has very bad quality compared to usbc and I couldn’t figure out why.

Will do! The other camera I use to film my KZbin videos is an old Sony a7rii. They’re used for very different purposes so I haven’t tried to match the footage

I use an external monitor and use the histogram and the exposure comp to determine how I expose my footage

Are you able to attach another plate to the bottom for a sideways arca Swiss plate? Trying to see if this rig could work on a rs2 as well 😂

You definitely can. One of the configurations I use is with the 100mm plate mounted sideways. This way I have a much more compact setup and I can still mount the SSD to the cheese plate.

I have the same 8sinn clamp as you, but for the life of me I cant seem to find the right USB-C cable to fit.All the right angle ones i buy just dont go in :(

The rig looks cool, I like the vertical mounting for the SSD. I've recently purchased the Arca-Swiss M2 SSD Holder from 52weeks, which mounts on the bottom, but it looks like it would preclude connecting the base plate... I have the Niceyrig handle, which is not as nice as the smallrig one, but it's hard to find FP aftermarket parts in Canada :(

The Sigma FP accessories from 52Weeks look ready cool. I think what they’re doing is awesome. And yeah, unfortunately, accessories for the FP seem harder and harder to come by nowadays.

Does the 52weeks have to connect straight to the bottom of the camera or will it still mount to the bottom if you have a cage on the camera?

It has an indexing pin that goes into the small hole, so it probably would not mount correctly on a cage. I can try with a SmallRig cage and the DPL cage...

@@davido9450 So, on a SmallRig cage there's a hole for the indexing pin in the correct spot, so it fits perfectly. On the DPL cage there's a hole in one row that is 1.5mm off, so it does not fit, and on the back row you can attach it, but the pin hangs in the air, so it'll be liable to get un-screwed. There's a little rubber pad, though, that helps by adding some extra friction. Hope this helps.

How you control the camera menu system ? Bcz this setup block the lcd screen.

The buttons aren’t covered and the external monitor allows me to see the when the screen would show when going through the menus

@@michaelbennettphoto Thanks for reply I just want to know that is it possible to start and stop the recording from external moniter or something else bcz due to this setup may be it's difficult to reach out the record button on camera.
