Now THIS is cyberpunk. Prosthesis that are capable of being produced by a consumer. I commend you for this. You have truly embraced the spirit of cyberpunk itself.

Someday, I want to hear that someone 3D printed their own space-ship and went to live on another planet. 3D printing is so amazing. I think we might already have the technical capability to 3D print simple machines or gearboxes, pieces separated by a thin layer of water-soluble support material that could work without assembly. I think eventually, we might see multi-material 3D printers that can create sturdier and more complex mechanisms. Imagine a car, 3D printed all at once in a large industrial 3D printer. Or a spaceship.

@PixelPursuits1 the best thing which u can do is to 3d print the casing it does not cost much, the rest can be done using a microcontroller like arduino and some tensile strings, servo motors and that's it for a low budget one

You are brilliant! I was very impressed with your ability to construct this technology with a limited budget and make it so realistic. Is there any chance you will create a leg next? One with an ankle that can jump and stand on tiptoes? Many people could benefit from a new leg as well and it could be a fun project for you.

Nice job men. I wanted to build it, but i see everyone using regular motors, i want to make my own linear motor with plastic tube with coil warped around it, magnet inside that pulls fishing line. I think it would be a lot of smaller and better, you can make series of smaller linear motors in tube.
