Someday, I want to hear that someone 3D printed their own space-ship and went to live on another planet. 3D printing is so amazing. I think we might already have the technical capability to 3D print simple machines or gearboxes, pieces separated by a thin layer of water-soluble support material that could work without assembly. I think eventually, we might see multi-material 3D printers that can create sturdier and more complex mechanisms. Imagine a car, 3D printed all at once in a large industrial 3D printer. Or a spaceship.

@PixelPursuits1 the best thing which u can do is to 3d print the casing it does not cost much, the rest can be done using a microcontroller like arduino and some tensile strings, servo motors and that's it for a low budget one

you could put rings on your toes that connect to strings that connect to a micro controller that controll the fingers individually. you can develop great levels of control over your individual toes with enough practice and even do it while walking normally.

Nice job men. I wanted to build it, but i see everyone using regular motors, i want to make my own linear motor with plastic tube with coil warped around it, magnet inside that pulls fishing line. I think it would be a lot of smaller and better, you can make series of smaller linear motors in tube.
