Clean ride, tastefully done👌 I have a 2001 ecsb TSP224r 112lsa. Just finished building the transmission w/3200 stall torque converter. I’m loving the new transmission. The stock stall was a dog until higher rpms. It’s pretty quick now, still drivable enough for the Mrs to take it out.

in my opinion and experience, i had really bad luck with the Holley Sniper TB, save your money on the nick williams, get a Speed Engineering TB. i have their 92mm and its great! i also had the 102mm for my FAST LSXRT but went back to the 92mm it just drove better with it. thats just my .02 cents awesome build!

Yes the stock heads are fine for a lot of applications but there is always room for improvement. But the manifolds are terrible unless you wanna flip them upside down and slap a turbo on them.

Just changed my oil on my truck 2002 chevrolet silverado extended cab LS 4.8 with full synthetic oil Mobil 1 w oil filter. This is my first older truck and chevy at that ..is it normal to hear a little lifting noise? After a few minutes it quits. I’m so happy I stumbled across this video. I’m putting together a list and checklist for a Silverado build. Or might do an s10 Blazer, like 2000 body. Haven’t 100% decided yet. But I’m really swaying to Silverado. But is the truck still reliable? Daily driven this truck since 2012. Even with all the modifications the truck has been rock solid. Any problems I have had have been my own doing because I decided to change something. These trucks are some of the most reliable trucks you can own, as long as you keep the oil changed it will last you a LONG time.

I have the Tahoe twin to your truck only with a 6.0/80e combo. Even have the R1 geomet rotors lol. I did the custom cross member just because it looked trick and freed up some space. Any reason you got the catchcan vented to atmosphere? Seems like it would cause a vacuum leak.

bottomline2000 I bet that’s a nice setup. On the catch can I was advised to do that. It’s sort of blocked of on the inside of the filter and baffled inside the can. I’ll have to look into that but I didn’t think it would hurt it. Maybe it is…

@@Stan1le yeah it's fun to play with. I have a cam too and my startup is pretty smooth and 11/16 mpg with a 3k stall. If you are going turbo and speed density tune the vent may not matter. I did the hydroboost conversion and it really woke the brake system up making triple digit stops a breeze and u don't have to worry about low vacuum. A lot of factory options out there for ya.

Does the same driveshaft from the 4l60 fit the 4l80? I just picked up a 4l80 but I’ve heard the driveshaft won’t fit. It’s a custom 4 inch aluminum driveshaft so I don’t want to have to get resize or get a new one

No it won’t fit. It has to be made shorter because the 80 is longer

@@jasonloera3358 no never heard of it. Doubt it would work because the driveshaft is about two inches too long. I tried to use a shortened yoke, and it tore up the end housing of the trans. Once I got the driveshaft modified, it's been perfect ever since.

What kinda coils do you have? I bought some SOS coils with some 0 ohmz wires .... it woke up the stock engine and helps in the higher RPMz... I grabbed a 92mm TB customized my stock air cleaner/box, it doesn’t run well without the damn MAF so I got rid of the K&N 1.... i timed the quarter mile off an app on my phone and it did it in 14.2sec. Duel exhaust hallowd cats I wanna delete the 02 sensors but I dunno any computer geeks in my area to plug in a tune for me....

Well my coils are stock; they work well close to 1,000hp on some big setups. And the truck MUST have the MAF and the O2 sensors. It will never run right without either one of them in place. Plus what’s the point of getting rid of the o2’s? Just curious as to why that idea came about.

Ceon Tucker mpg is horrible now but I already knew that was going to happen. If you’re concerned about gas mileage then modifying a vehicle shouldn’t be in the plans. They come from the factory with the best mileage possible. Only thing you could possibly do is a cold air intake like what I have now. But most other mods will begin to decrease mileage

Iroc Jay just a FYI; that throttle body spacer makes zero difference. Shorty headers are pretty solid, I had some for a while. You’ll just have to find a good tuner in your area

When I have mine plugged on it causes the Evaporator sensor on the back of the gas tank leak a lot of gas out of it but if I plug off the return line on the regulator and leave the return line free flow it does not leak.

if you want it to last then you MOST definitely need to swap. People have tried every trick in the book and they ALWAYS fail. The weight of the truck is what kills the 4l60. When you are trying to carry all that weight with anything more then stock power it simply won’t last

You can get a performabuilt transmission and it will do the job. That's what I've been running on mine is their heavy hauler level 2

The stock transfer took a shit 5 months after the build. Could have been because I had 4.10 gears with 35s. Bought the performabuilt trans and haven't had an issue since.
