This is way cool. Technology is so wonderful now. Years ago, it took so much more to do all of this. Now I want a direct link to your music. Great video and I find it very helpful. Keep up the good work.

I have been trying to get my setup going from one keyboard to control others but with no luck. I have to play everything individually. I also use Studio One and Logic. I love the setup. Hopefully, you can make a video on how your controller uses the synths as modules through software. If you have done this already, let me know. It would give me an opportunity to get more creative and have a better workflow. Peace and Blessings.

Thank you so much for this good brother! This motivates me to finish my home studio build that my wife and I’ve been working on for nearly 2 years now between gigs and life. I actually have the Studiolive 32s as well as 2 of the 4 ft slat walls from Amazon. Presh8 you once again docta! 🤜🏾💥🤛🏾

You've probably already thought about this, but if not, you can look into getting a MIDI interface, something like a MOTU Micro Express that gives you a 5 PIN MIDI (4 in, 6 out) and a USB cable that you can then use to connect to your computer. If you want to get "fancier", you can get an RTP interface and have the MIDI go over your local network (RTP MIDI). That would allow you to connect old keyboards and synths in case you look to expand on getting them.
@Johnmike3 ай бұрын
@@tonylancer7367 I’m actually looking into the RTP midi stuff so I can route my synth wall stuff to access them from my live room…

@@Johnmike That's a great idea, can go pretty deep if you want it to, you could even have someone across the world play your boards if you wanted to. 😄

Doc it would be SUPER DOPE if you did a part 2 video to this one on how you routed the audio from the usb hub and Carvin mixer thru the snake into the Studio Live board 👌🏾. THAT would bless the people 😎

Literally just plugged XLR cables up…🤷🏾♂️…nothing fancy…now if you mean how things are routed on the computer I already did part 2 here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXyrn5yJqLmenpY

A couple of “key” components on the synth wall. I see what you did there lol. Nah great setup. Pretty cool that you can sort of use your hardware like plugins. I’m assuming you have some favorites or go to patches set to program changes? I can’t imagine you set up program changes for all the patches on each board.
@Johnmike3 ай бұрын
Lolol thanks! But yea I haven’t gotten that deep yet with all the program changes…but I’m working my way around to them for quick access to my go tos…I’ll definitely update here on the channel when I get to that point!
@tonylancer73673 ай бұрын
There's a nicer (but longer) way of doing it in Logic, you setup an Multi-Instrument and set it to your external synth. Then, you can name all the patches according to the names of the synth and then save it. When you feel like "InDaNite" or "J-Pop Bells", all you have to do is search for it like a preset and boom, it's loaded.

Cool. I have something similar but I’m using a motu midi express 128 to route all of the midi.

Great video, the synth slat wall is the solution! I have a Korg Kronos that is a 23kg beast. I saw you have a Nautilus on the wall too, is this solution firmly enough to hang and play heavy keyboards like that? Also, what kind of panel have you used? MDF or PVC? Have you attached the panels straight to the wall studs or have you built a frame behind? It would be great to know, thanks a lot!
@Johnmike2 ай бұрын
@@mooretto yes sirrrr I have a few heavy boards on the wall…I just added the Yamaha M6 which is heavier than the nautilus…so a combined weight of almost 100lbs is on the wall! The link to the panels is in the pinned comment and in the description of the video…and it’s just several screws straight into the studs..you can see more about the build out process here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWKol4prip6Yn5o

Why did not you choose a Studiologic 88 keybed as your master midi keyboard - that was your previous sugestion over others... // long term experience was not the best ?
@Johnmike2 ай бұрын
I still have it…and I still think it’s the best feel for the price…However ended up with some broken keys on that board through my own fault…I traveled with it(16-hour trip) and I had it in a case(a hard one) but I think the sliding around caused issues and it broke a bunch of keys…I ended up getting the Roland and I haven’t looked back…but if you are looking at the SL88 I still recommend it and stand by all I’ve said about it
