How I Buy and Finance My Supercar Collection! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 38

Let's talk about the finance side of my car collection and how I work with Approved Motor Finance to buy and manage the money side of the supercars. We've also got a second Lamborghini in the garage, and plenty of progress cleaning up the Shmuseum!
There's no specific formula behind how to buy and pay for a car; everybody will be different in their circumstances and of course they way I go about it is quite unique. However, with some cars that are financed from new, some that have been re-financed, and some that are owned outright, let's talk through some of the pros and cons of why these options make sense with a look at the Shmeemobiles, joined by Krish from AMF with a fabulous Lamborghini Huracan Performante.
In today's vlog at ‪@TheShmuseum‬ we also have a new carpet for the office that takes quite some effort to put in place, as well as a lot of work to be done for the cleaning of the floor thanks to the loan of a suitable machine from Cleaning Equipment Services.

I certainly don't expect Tim to disclose his full financial history but there wasn't much info given here. Just came across as a 10 minute advert for AMF to me. More insight into the income and outgoings may have been more interesting rather than "I buy some cars and I finance some." Plenty of gullible people watching will believe they can afford cars outside their limits and end up in severe debt.

@@dr.go-fast I must admit I too like to see all the cars that most of us can only dream of but it does annoy me when You Tubers give the impression that playing the stocks & shares markets and financing cars is the holy grail to becoming rich. All Tim had to do (if he wanted to) was to give us an insight into his business ventures and what his working life entails. That would in my opinion be much more interesting than bringing his finance company rep down to explain absolutely nothing.

I guess that are all 10 years old...don't understand anything of life....but it is amusing and I like Manny anyway, but it is only for the happy few....and has nothing to do with hard work. I was truck driver 25 years and never could afford a new car...making 50- 60 hours a week!

Had one of those pretty much to the tee only in a 4x8' size. Nice choice Tim. When the day comes for car lifts there is a big difference in the rate at which a 120 volt vs 240-volt motor raises a car. Those voltages are what's used in the states.

As usual, great video. As to the cleaning of floor, maybe it would be good idea to have 2-4 cleaning robots like I-Robot Roomba or Roborack with both hoover and moping options. I know that they are obviously targeted at house cleanong, but they could for example run every second night and tidy some of the dust/sand acumulated on the floor. And as they are very low, maybe they could even go under cars. That way it would be possible to prolong "full cleanig" wit something like a machine featured in video to ve done less frequently. And may there are more industrial ones on the market aviable. Just a thought.

I’ve noticed the blue walls interfere with seeing the cars a bit-lack of contrast, blue draws attention to itself. Know you just painted, but think white or light gray on the walls would really show off the cars themselves and make them pop! Just a thought!

I think it would help everyone aspiring to get into car collecting to educate people on how to make the money first via smart business practices Tim…Mat Armstrong recently did a video on how he started rebuilding cars (which can be turned into a viable business) if done smartly by buying cheap affordable cars fixing them and flipping them then you start to build capital and scale up..till you start to move into more expensive units..start with a small team of trusted knowledge friends and build the business slowly..it’s not that hard but discipline is required.

It’s simple - you save a deposit, you have a balloon payment depending on mileage and car, you either can or cannot afford the monthly payment. All of his cars must be at least £30k plus per month plus the rent on the unit, plus Brad and Toms wages and anyone else in the background. £300k for the Ford GT deposit! 😮 the more you watch theses you tubers the more they earn.

Yeah, there wasn’t much here to give insight to aspiring car KZbinrs. A good example would’ve been the first “sports” car you bought and how you financed that, and then stepping into some of the more exotica. Most people here struggle to fill up with petrol or change their shock absorbers, so let’s be a bit more helpful. I did love your comment about “bought the RS and abarth for cash - obviously”… yikes, lots of cash in a bank account and 20-40k in cash many people don’t have…and obviously indeed.

Will no doubt be a business insurance much like car dealerships/garages. They pay one payment of say £5000 per annum and then any staff member over 25yrs old is insured to drive anything upto the agreed policy value............ say £1million. Each subsequent car will then just be added on an individual basis. So if Tim bought another Ferrari next week, that would add say £500 to his already £5000pa policy. Brad isnt allowed to drive any of the supercars as Tim mentioned in the RS3 collection video. So I presume this will be why.
