My Car Lifts are COMPLETE! BendPak Autostackers at The Shmuseum | VLOG 48

The new car lifts are installed and loaded up at @TheShmuseum! We have 4 BendPak Autostacker A6W lifts, now with the Shmeemobiles parked on them and looking incredible in the garage. This has been the dream for a while, and it's now an epic reality!
The intention in the space has always been to use the main long wall for storage with the installation of the best possible car lifts; with the opposing side acting more as the museum presentation of cars spaced out, all with a view from the end at the offices and mezzanine. We got underway with the start of the installation of the first 4 lifts, which are now complete before the mezzanine in a month or two.
For the purpose, we have gone for the Autostacker A6W lifts for numerous benefits and reasons. When they are installed the cars up top visually appear to be floating on a platform with no posts obstructing the view, as well as being able to be installed right alongside one another to maximise the use of the available space. The A6W are the wide option so perfectly suited to the supercars in the collection, but also have a low ramp angle to have any of my cars driven on, as well as being easy to operate.

How about some spot floodlights aimed up from the wall near floor level to illuminate the lower surface of the lift platforms and hence the cars underneath. Colour selectable might be cool although maybe not "disco". 🤣🤣🤣

I'd put blocks in the back of the SLS now so you can get it to stop in the same spot every time without having to worry about hitting the door when it opens.

In my garage I hung a tennis ball on a piece of string so when the back window hits it I know I am in the right position. Could be a solution here too?

@@the72inc73 The back of the SLS and the others under the lifts seem to be too far forward for that here. You'd have to hang them from the lifts themselves so either have to remove them every time you want to lower the lift or risk them getting crushed every time you lower the lifts. I doubt they'd damage the lift at all, but regardless you don't really want to be crushing anything when lowering the lift. I think some tape to mark the position of blocks, wheel chocks or tyre cushions then they can be easily removed and placed accurately again when you need to access the upper cars is probably the best way to go. I think trying to rehang a ball or something else soft on a string accurately each time would be harder to do, although thinking about it (as I type :) ), you could permanently tape a small hook in one of the ribs (so it is impossible to crush it/pinch it when moving a lift) then have some numbered lightly weighted soft things on string matched to each lift position and car combo which could make it easier to place and remove accurately, and actually could make parking different cars in the same spaces easier (with a large selection of hanging things and multiple hooks under each lift to hang from, centre, left and right for mid engined limited rearward visibility but you can see by sticking your head out the driver's window, LHD and RHD).
