September weddings are wonderful! And FWIW, when I got married it was forecast to be sunny, then at the last minute it rained! But the rain cleared up about an hour before the ceremony, and then the sun came out and the clouds parted and there was a rainbow.. it was all great and the light after the rain was wonderful for photos. Great about the bridesmaid dress! And Alex cracked me up, as usual.

I can imagine how pleasing and calming to know everything is planned and on track for the wedding. If you’re going for mindfulness in a garden, plan it so it doesn’t need a lot of work. Otherwise is just becomes another chore that I didn’t enjoy, but that might have had more to do with the bugs than the weeding. Still, when we moved to low maintenance, it was a lot more pleasant.

Have you considered using liquiproof on your shoes? It works on satin and so it should help with preventing stains from the grass.

Great to see you in such a good headspace Maddie. You’ve worked hard and deserve to feel proud! I lost 2 stone in 2020 and was working out 3-5 days a week and felt great. I’ve put the weight back on since, having completely fallen off the wagon and don’t want to set a wedding date (despite being engaged for a year and a half now) because I’m worried about the pressure I will feel, and I don’t want to try on dresses and be self critical 😬 I’m feeling inspired though watching you recently and I know I can get back to where I was again 💪 hope you guys have an amazing day!! Oh also, I heard that ice can be used to expand shoes and fill in furniture gaps in carpet, so perhaps putting an ice cube down the end will push that dent out of the shoe? Maybe check on google first though, I’d hate for you to ruin them on my suggestion!

I am jealous of your small wedding! We had close to 200 guests. Mostly my husband's family as his family is absolutely massive. I probably had 40 to 50 family members and the rest his. Wouldn't change anything now but smaller is better 🤣

I'm getting married in November, and we are doing it sooo different than you. Basically just me and fiance and our parents, signing the marriage papers and then going out for lunch, and then just the two of us heading on a weekend trip to an island where we would've gone anyway. Wine and an outdoor wood fired hot tub, then hiking the day after. My mom offered to buy me a dress because I "can't wear jeans and hoodie to your own wedding" so I might jump on that offer... 😅 I'm not a very romantic person, but I do love my man dearly. (Please don't crucify me.)
