Is this faster than using a regular plug? Was the changer AC or DC? I know you can run DC power into an AC adapter no problem but if the voltage is too high it would still dry it. Does the adapter limit the charging station voltage then? If it doesn’t how would you know your battery can handle the voltage? If so I can’t imagine this being faster than a normal plug. Sounds like you’re better off saving your money and asking a café owner if you can plug in while you have a coffee.
