Thank you for your presentation! It's quite interesting as everybody seems to have his own way of cleaning. I too use Ballistol, but I use it also for cleaning after every shooting. Ballistol in the bore, wait 10-15 min, 10 pulls with a boresnake, muzzle crowne, outside. After more than 500 shots I can not find signs of copper deposits or a decrease in accuracy in my Steyr in .308. I think I'll continue with this some more time and then test the forrest foam if there are any changes. Best regards from Austria.

+Forestal Frank I'm not saying my way of cleaning is best. ;) I only use Ballistol in bore if I store rifle for longer period which almost never happens. I don't want any oil in the bore at all. Regards from Poland

Yes, I also have Steyr. It is written in user manual that you have not clean your rifle with any brushes except silk noil or cotyon patch.

Immediately before I use the milfoam, I degrease the barrel so that Milfoam is not busy with the oil but can take care of the copper. And I repeat the treatment with Milfoam as long as the patches turn blue.

If a Blaser shoots eratic after cleaning, sometimes it helps to degrease the surfaces where the Barrel fits onto the Bedding Block inside the Stock :)

Hi very useful video just bought the same bore cleaning foam for my R8. Detaching the scope from the barrel for cleaning with the blaser saddle mount does it need zeroing again when attached back on the barrel? Thank you !

No need to zero, mounts are repeatable, but there should be no oil on the mount and in the slots on the barrel.

Jeżeli używasz piany do usuwania miedzi przy każdym czyszczeniu to nie wróżę tej lufie długiego żywota. Ta piana to bardzo agresywny środek. Pozdrawiam.

Interesting video. I note you say that you clean your rifle after every shot. Do you have to then zero the rifle on every occasion before shooting?

I noticed the poi does not change, at least not as much to affect hunting at the ranges I shoot. When I am out on the range I would still shoot a couple rounds.

I dont really see the point of using a bore guide, I used to use one and it didn't really work for me with a Blaser. I do wipe the rod after using solvent and a foam, I guess it didn't get on film, doh! Thanks for watching

Czy do czyszczenia lufy wystarczyła by tylko pianka Milfoam Forrest? Chciałbym się dowiedzieć czy oprócz miedzi usuwa niespalony proch z lufy i inny w niej osad, gdyż dużo strzelam na strzelnicy bronią kulową i śrutową i zależało by mi na ich solidnym wyczyszczeniu. Ewentualnie co innego mógłby mi pan polecić. Pozdrawiam Darz Bór

Sam stosuję dwa różne środki i moim zdaniem jest to optymalny sposób ponieważ pianka nie działa szybko i należy ją w lufie zostawić na minimum 15-30 min, ja często zostawiam na noc. Aby usunąć resztki spalonego prochu lepiej użyć czegoś innego, co działa szybko.

Both Bore shine and Milfoam remove copper quickly if you dont let it form too much fouling. Many people just clean basic powder fouling and after 20-50 shots use some copper solvent. I dont like that approach I prefer to have it clean all the time and the first shot is always where I want it to be.
