I use Crayola Colors of the World for skin tones and hair. Ive used Staedtler dual ended water based markers. I also have used the Faber Castell Pitt artist pen but they are definitely the priciest

Hi hun been loving listening to your videos while I colour. I was inspired last week to buy one of the Disney colouring by numbers books. Well I like doing the black outline but after that a became very bored....oh well found out colour by numbers is not for me. I didn't get any of the Disney Classics ones because I didn't know where to start. I'm kind of glad now because a Best Of is coming out soon so I'll just get that. I think that might be a good choice for most people who aren't sure which one of the Grand Classics ones to get. I do have several of the Hachette Colour by Number Books outside of the Disney "Classics" though. I just got the ones I liked the most. I got the Circles ones because I liked doing Querkles but the size of the book annoyed me, so it's like Querkles but smaller. They also have non Disney books which are such as great. The sequels are really not super popular in France. French people complain about Tomb 4 too. Wow how expensive those are for you guys in the US!! Hachette are some of the cheapest books ever to get here. The "big" ones cost 12.90. You have to get together with family and friends a bit. Otherwise you'll just go nuts. We are not meant to always stay by ourselves. I really like seeing how different people colour different things. I do these completely differently. I use the Staedtler 320 (the set of 120, which I ended up buying because they keep asking you ten million browns and greens no other set seems to have), lines with a black Stabilo 68 pen because I can get 10 for 8 on amazon plus local stores have the black ones separately. I do the black last because I don't want anything to smudge and finding all of the lines when nothing is coloured in is pretty hard and it's so satisfying to see how "clean" the picture suddenly looks with the lines added in. My favourite Disney character is Mulan :).

The books themselves usually end up between 12-15 dollars but then shipping is crazy. My last order shipping was 40 dollars which essentially added 5 dollars per book. I think it was just because of the virus so hopefully shipping will get a little better soon. *fingers crossed* I am looking forward to seeing which pictures they put in the best of though I obviously dont need it lol. I still think flip thrus are the way to go because some volumes dont have any of certain movies!

Hey Dani! I like using the sharpie pens in black. They do t bleed through, they don’t smudge when you use your water based markers and you can buy them in bulk off amazon. I would imagine they are cheaper per pen than the tombow

I just bought 2 of these French Disney coloring books and wondering if there are markers that go with them or if I can just grab my box of 100 crayola markers

Crayola markers work great! I do recommend getting extra black though because they are most used. I use tombow dual brush tip in black. Also if you can find the crayola colors of the world markers it's really helpful for skin tones!

I'm not sure why people are so worried about video length. Maybe for some kinds of videos it's a concern, but something like this seeing the whole process in real-time makes sense. I see videos that are 3+ hours long for some things. We aren't being held hostage and can pause or leave at any time. I often pause because I'm falling asleep or have something else to do and just pick it up later when I have the time. I enjoyed seeing your process. I do not have any of these books yet because I'm trying to wait until amazon UK will ship to the US again so I can get better prices. I may break down and buy one though. I stayed for the whole video. My favorite Disney character(s) is Winnie the Pooh (and all his friends in the 100 acre wood)

I think part of it for me is I don’t have enough to say for long videos ! But you are right that especially for How to videos the whole process is important! Also to be honest when you look at the analytics a lot of people don’t stay long. May channel average is about 12 minutes. I also often pause videos and take my time watching them ! I'm guilty of starting a video and realizing I want to watch it but not right now so I will add it to my watch later queue and move on to something else. So I'm sure to a lot of people like I don't like their content. I will keep that in mind in the future. My birthday is coming up and I checked and the UK is shipping to the US again so I have been HEAVILY suggesting to my husband that he should look at my wishlist. He's weird because he won't buy off my wishlists because I buy stuff off of them for myself. I am baffled by this logic, but have let it go. Very late comment to this video - just got a BUNCH of these books and love them! I actually used Tombow for the full page color and it turned out really well...but Supertips are also amazingly good for their price.

I think I saw rumors of a volume 8! I have a really hard time finding info about the upcoming releases because of the language barrier. I follow a bunch of French instagrammers and they will sometimes post about what's going to come out!

I just colored my first one after watching your video. Do you ever have issues with the other colors hitting the black and turning muddy in one spot because a little of the black gets on the tip of the other marker?

It does happen occasionally I just try and be very careful around the outline. I also keep a scrap paper nearby to blot off any black that gets on the lighter colored tips

Hi Dani! I am so excited to see this video! I am expecting my French books any day now and was going to message you on how to attack these haha! For the lack lines are there numbers? Is that number 1? I just can’t see it on the camera so was wondering if they were numbered or more like the Mosaic style where you can just see that there is space? If that makes any sense..🤷🏻‍♀️ Love your tips on the Supertips markers (could say they are super tips hehe oh gosh I’m corny! 😆) I’m glad you had a good 4th and your nails look awesome! All my roommate and I did for the holiday was watch Hamilton on Disney+ and it was amazing! I think fireworks were going off until like 2:30am here it was ridiculous! I am the same way with “scary” aka true crime and such for me. It gives me anxiety but I am still interested in it! I just started watching Hannibal on Netflix and it is borderline too much for me but sooo intriguing so I’m going to keep watching and just see how it goes! Wow I really need to get back into reading I haven’t read in like a year and I miss it and so many creators talk about books too so my TBR list just keeps growing lol! Love hearing about your remodeling sounds really nice! There are soooo many versions of Winnie the Pooh! I believe “The Many adventures of Winnie the Pooh” I believe is the original. Then there is the new one that came out in like 2011 and so many stories in between! Yay I cant wait for you to get your books. Black is number 1 ! I haven't watched Hamilton yet but I am sure I will soon. It was my vhs copy of The Many Adventures that was different from my DVD copy! Crazy. The 2011 movie is not my favorite. I LOVE the old school Many adventures of Winnie the Pooh tv show that is on Disney Plus. I also used to have some of those on VHS and still apparently have the theme song memorized lol .

Do u have bleeding on the page behind it? I just did my first one loved it but I used caliart alcohol markers n it ruined the page behind it. Since I paid $30 for it I feel like now I’m only getting half a book and I gotta pick and choose the pictures I want to do. When coloring I always use prisma color pencils but I have only seen people use markers with these coloring books and I guess I can see why using pencils would take a long time and not be as vibrant.

Oh no! Caliart are my fav markers But they are alcohol based so they will bleed. You need to find water based markers. I most often use Staedtler dual ended markers or Crayola Super tips!

You were cracking me up throughout this video haha. You are great at color & chats! I think you have the hard part down of being able to talk while you're coloring. I definitely could only focus on only coloring or only talking so you're doing great. Other thoughts: 1) I would definitely watch videos about books! 2) I would love to see more videos in this series - maybe coloring different types of the French coloring books like the carres magiques using the cross stitch method, for example. 3) It's hard to pick a favorite character but I would probably say Moana has become a new favorite of mine! What's yours?

I don't have any of the Disney colour by number books and I flip flop all the time about whether I want them or not (I'm a huge Disney fan so I feel like I really ought to have at least one, LOL) but I'm an alcohol marker girl and hate the streaks of water based markers. One day, one day... maybe ;)

Even one could keep you busy for a long time! The streaks can be annoying, sometimes i just crayola pencils and just press really hard to get it even lol

Get one of the Disney Messages Mystères blocs. They are top loading and one sided so you can use alcohol markers. The only downside is that after you coloured in them for a while, they seem to just come apart and need to be stored in a folder.

@@mchobbit2951 Thanks for the tip :) I do have other Disney books including some of the blocs ones - I love those (apart from the falling apart bit, hehe), but they're not colour by numbers. There are probably a few images in each of the CbN books that I'm not keen on, perhaps I'll just compromise and do some in pencil or supertips and a few others I can do in alcohol marker and just sacrifice the images I don't particularly like. I never really expect to fully complete every single page in a colouring book anyhow. Most of the Hachette books have been out of stock recently on Amazon UK during most of Covid but I see they're all starting to come back now so perhaps I'll give one a go!

The three I use are Staedtler Double ended Fibre-tip pens (water based). Crayola super tips (and especially the crayola colors of the world markers for skin tones) and the Faber Castell Pitt artist brush pens!

It’s really up to preference but these are very large books so it you use pencils you will probably be sharpening a bunch of times!
