Super helpful information! I’m going to try to start using more physical sunscreens to see if they help my skin! Thank you 🙏

I know that you use the Theraface LED mask. Does it exacerbate your Melasma?

I’m allergic to glycolic acid so I’m going to try Sante. I don’t want to mess with hydroquinone.

I have not tried Musely, but I definitely have been curious about. I’ve tried Hydroquinone, and it did absolutely nothing for my melasma. I used it for 3 months consistently. 😢 It’s funny how things work differently depending on your skin. I felt like Vitamin C and Azelaic acid 15% did more for me than anything else. My skin experiences zero irritation from Azelaic acid. I love it! Thank you for this video. I’m about to do my 3rd treatment of the PiQ4 laser. So far, I’m not seeing the results I had hoped for with the laser. I’ve scheduled and paid for 4 treatments. Still crossing my fingers. My dermatologist said it could take up to 7 treatments sometimes and we could always do more if the 4 don’t remove enough…as if I have an infinite amount of disposable money 🫠 Easy for him to say. Lol! It took a lot for me to spend $500 because I never do these things for myself when I have 3 kids to worry about. But I was able to get a discount off the treatments so that’s the only reason I pulled the trigger. Really hoping it will be worth it in the end. 🤞🏼 Thank you for this video. I really wish insurance would cover these procedures for melasma. I understand it’s cosmetic, but it really can affect one’s self-esteem. I used to never have to wear makeup. I had perfect skin. But after each child, my melasma got worst. I don’t leave my house now or let anyone see me unless I’m wearing makeup to cover up my melasma. Even on the beach, I wear foundation. I’m so sad about my face. 😢

If your melasma comes back highly recommend trying Musely at 12% HQ. My melasma wasn't affected at all by anything under 6%!

Did you do the Musely spot cream with hydroquinone and tretenoin?

Do you just apply musely to the dark spots? How careful are you to avoid covering lighter areas -- do you ever get a halo effect bleaching your non-melasma regions? Like do you apply to your whole forehead and cheek or just the areas which look darker at the moment?
@JillianGottlieb13 ай бұрын
yes, just to the dark spots! you don't have to be perfect, but just the dark spots. i've never had an issue with it lightening the areas I don't want to lighten!

If using Cyspera, do you still just do the 2 months of it?
@JillianGottlieb13 ай бұрын
no cysteamine is safe to use without stopping

So the rest of the year, you don’t use anything except the sunscreen?
