I was really excited for this video. Creating privacy should not be limited to hedges especially if you have a small garden. I have tried to use big plants to have vertical impact as I could not have deep borders due to small garden.
Garden privacy was quite essential for me especially when you have overlooked garden
I really hope that this video is useful, so please leave comment!
thank you for watching

Hi, I wish your message came earlier, plant looks really nice I have already bought washingtonia robusta. I still don't have space😂. I might get rid of something and plant your recommendation, more thoughts for 2022!

Enjoying your videos. Deserve more views. I'm just finishing conversion of what was a two car gravel driveway into a side garden with privacy fences. Like you I'm on a budget and want privacy and impact straight away but know I'll gave to wait. How long did it take you get the garden as it is? Also where did you get the Tatrapamax? - I'm on the Wirral and struggling to source locally.

Hi Dan, thank you for your kind words. I do put a lot of effort but not many views. I don't why because I do it out of passion , I will just carry on and let's see. Regarding tetrapanax, it is always available online only and currently out of stock every where so wait until April. I remember seeing few listings on Facebook marketplace so try that. I bought it from a small seller called barracottplants. There website is not user friendly but I spoke to them and they were lovely and I wanted to buy from them. They do charge high postage as individual seller and really care about plants. This was 7 or 8 years ago. Not sure if they still sell. It took me around 7 years but I did a lot of shuffling of plants

@@urbantropicaluk great I'll keep my eye out in April. How deep do you think a wall foundation needs to be to stop the runners of Tetrapanax? I saw in another video it escaped into your lawn! I terms of views its probably the You Tube Algorithm. Worth checking what 'Jungle George' and 'Grow Paradise' do. I think its posting frequently and generating mass appeal. Takes time to grow a following and go up the rankings. Good luck.

@@DanH282 if I could go back I would put a barrier 1.5 to 2ft deep (may be plastic sheet barrier). It is very invasive. Thanks for the tip , I just don't understand the algorithm. I just make the video and post it .

Hi I think its golden showers but not 100% sure. When I planted i had no idea about plants!! Its supported by fence but stem is so thick so quite stable with just a tiny lean on fence.

Hi, Fern tree are very easy to care for. For best results plant in part shade or shade. You can still plant it in full sun but water intake goes up. They do root easily as well. I bought one 2 litre pot and that was in full shade and has grown very strong. Thanks:)

Thank you Dom:) It took many years still not done. I started 10 years ago and I was complete novice but I became serious few years back. I have spent a lot. I think just plants were worth around £2k (I was adding up in head 2 years ago). Its still going, I have spent £150 two days ago so its never ending. I did sell some plants as well to make space for more plants (more like recycling) You can do it cheaper now as Facebook marketplace is there. I bought from garden centre (more expensive than buying from a fella who is getting rid off it 😂)
