Weed helped me to quit heroin. Then after that I stopped smoking weed and I used to smoke it everyday as soon as I get off work I would smoke some or on my days off I would wake and bake first thing in the morning. Now a days I smoke weed occasionally on thanksgiving my birthday or Christmas or something like that. Weed is such a spiritual drug I love to meditate on it and raise my vibrations and connect with higher self but that only happens when I smoke once in a while I can go deep down meditation when it’s an everyday thing I’m just chilling, eating or watching some bs on Netflix. I won’t smoke weed everyday but occasionally it’s what I need my dude. Not gonna completely cut it off but not gonna come back to smoking everyday either. Also when weed becomes everyday thing it gets boring and takes away excitement of doing things in life without being high on weed. I love to go out on hikes, hit up the gym etc when I was smoking everyday I didn’t do anything outside work and weed. Plus now a days I save so much more money that I used to spend on weed and garbage snacks.

@QueerdoLocVaping is a way better high for me and I use such a tiny amount it barely costs me anything. The worst thing about vaping is the Teeth stains it causes, I put activated charcoal powder on my teeth before vaping and then I brush after, helps with stains otherwise the money I save would go to Dentist bills.

There's actually science to back what you're talking about with having a negative association with alcohol or drugs; its the pleasure/pain principle. And it's hard wired in the human psyche. We try to maximize pleasure and minimize pain. So to quit drinking alcohol, for example, you must associate a 10 out of 10 feeling of pain with doing it, in order to hope to get sober.

all true, however, your thought has no plan. it is just a blob of information laying on the ground. let's summon a founding father: "if you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done". what most are not willing to do is experience pain or get uncomfortable. the current climate in Fatmerica is surround yourself with as much pleasure & leisure as possible and get offended at anything trying to take your comforts. people can start (getting uncomfy) by letting go of one of those comforts. example could be, no phone during falling asleep. a bunch of small victories like that can shape someone into more valuable person.

If that science worked no one who’s experienced withdrawal would ever take pills or heroin again, alcoholics who wake up shaking and sick would never drink again. The pain/pleasure concept sounds a bit like pseudo science to me lol. Even the over whelming majority of opiate addicts who quit cold turkey n go through the entire hellish process of withdrawal end up using again and repeating the process many many more times before they get clean for good (the ones who do get clean anyway) and it’s because their mind physically craves the overwhelming release of dopamine opiates give which is the feeling of total euphoria u get from them … And it takes being sober 9mnths to 1Yr or more before your mind starts producing n releasing dopamine are normal natural levels again. The mind always remember how great they make u feel. Addicts and Alcoholics go through hell everytime they run out n go through forced withdrawal. If your concept worked no one who’s went through withdrawal would ever use again if all it took was associating said drug with a feeling of pain or bad expierence to quit, that’s pseudo science not sense it’s much harder to quit a chemical addiction than that.

Sound advice. Right now I’m trying to get off Kratom. It’s incredibly hard. I somehow was able to kick fentanyl but this Kratom shit is spirit deep. I’ve been doing it for 7-8 years. The restless legs are nightmare inducing. It’s like nothing else and I am close to being able to stopping and pushing through. But you’re right. There has ti be a mindset that changes in order to permanently quit. That’s why I’m so against people flushing their supply of whatever they are trying to quit. I’d wager 99% of people who flush get high again within 24 hours.

Half a year later Ive had just about 5 super pleasant experiences with weed so I relapsed for a while, not to the point I was before but still. These drugs that dont ruin your life (Nicotine, Weed) are so hard to quit. Like cigarettes, even though when compared to other substances the head rush in the morning when you have a smoke is so negligible that I ask myself why do I keep smoking these cancer sticks but i do it nontheless.

I’m so glad when I needed opiates from a really bad car accident, requiring two surgeries, that I never got addicted. I’ve only ever been addicted to alcohol, weed, and dissociative drugs (a few kinds). I think I respect opiates too much and I’m also stuck on them for the rest of my life unfortunately in order to walk /get around. I got my adderall taken away and Xanax taken away from my addiction years when the doctors found out about rehab. Holding on to my medical Mary Jane and tramadol for dear life by taking them only as prescribed and going to meetings. It wasn’t easy at first tho. I had a 6-7 year run with my addiction too. Pain def outweighed the pleasure when I caught 14 charges in 2020

Definetly depends how much you use amd for how long. If you use a gram to 2 grams of fent a day on top of your daily methadone dose for years and years it's fucking brutal. I wouldn't sleep for 5 nights straight. Would feel like death for 7 to 10 days and wouldnt be right for weeks. The fatigue and depression would last a month or more. It's tough when you know you are looking at weeks of hell. I would only be able to do it when something terrible happened. Loose my license or get charges or end up in hospital it what helped me to stop the last few times.

Even if u have a couple negative experiences w/ H because you get some horrible feeling mixing H with Suboxone I don’t get how that works to make your mind associate opiates or heroin with unpleasant experiences…. Because at the same time your mind still remembers the Euphoria n absolute state of Nirvana Opiates give you lol. I’ve been sober from pain pills for 11yrs now and I can still remember how awesome pills make me feel, I just know the costs associated with them and what could happen even if I were to use one time which to me that one time isn’t worth the risk knowing the cycle of addiction they could lead me down. My mind though still absolutely associates opiates with feeling of awesomeness numbing u to not having a care in the world where all of your worries n anxieties just melt away.

The shit has such a long half life I honestly rarely felt anything. But if I felt shitty I'd do a little piece but I never raised my dose. Once the dose was down it never went up again.

I’m on 8 milligrams a day …. I can get by with half of a 8 mg sub … but as soon as I go below that … I feel like shit … maybe I’m tapering too big of amounts

Yea don't cut it in half. That I assume you feel for sure. Cut it by a tiny amount and wait a few days and see how you feel. Small increments. When you do it by small amounts you really don't feel it. Every once in a while I'd feel it and just do another small piece but I never upped the dose once I shrink it.

Not true about methadone, it blocks just as well as suboxone at a high dose. I havnt taken heroin for years, only done it once or twice after gettimg on methadone in the first couple weeks but i didnt get high the methadone blocks it out. Im in no pain reducing my dose so its worked for me, sorry joey just giving my example, love your content brother

You are better off hitting that weed pipe a few times a day rather than smoking tobacco. Trust me. Information from a guy that got cancer age 50. I was not a smoker. I did the tobacco chew. Prostate cancer is not all that fun at still a young age of 50. I think tobacco had a lot to do with it.

Yea honestly I wasn't thinking about getting off subs but I swear I had some kind of epiphany one day like lightning out of the sky or something. Just all of a sudden felt one hundred percent sure that it was time to ween it down.

@@joeythegypsy u nailed it tho Jojo! Bc I know this as well. U can get down to a sliver on subs but the day u don't do any. Omg all the sudden its on full blast again withdraws. It's very hard to cut that tie at the end but way better of a way to stay clean than methadone.

U would have to sliver away prices bc of the build up and 16mg is the max but it's not that easy. It's built up in your bone marrow! It take a longgggg time! All opiates go into your bone marrow that's the pain relief part.
@DavidOwen-p3u
@DavidOwen-p3u 6 ай бұрын
No it doesn't go into bone marrow at all and It isn't hoe it works, heroin floods the brain with feel good neurotransmitters and that's how it works lol. It's a persistent myth about bone marrow. I agree with everything else you said tho, spot on
