In this episode, I'm opening up about my personal battle with anxiety. I share the raw details of an anxiety attack that felt like a heart attack, and the life-altering lessons it taught me.
But this isn't just my story - it's a deep dive into understanding and managing anxiety that we all face in our journey to success. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by stress or anxiety, this episode is for you. I'll share the strategies I used to navigate through this challenging time, strategies that can help you too.

What I got from this video is that the best way to combat anxiety is to make sure you're going to bed physically AND mentally tired. If you've depleted your energy through the proper channels (working out for physical, working on your business or w/e for mental), then you are less likely to be anxious.
@GilgameshML
@GilgameshML Жыл бұрын
Also, he mentioned that anxiety tends to arise because you know you are able to solve a problem which you are not solving. So you gotta tackle the problems to solve it. The result of working will then indirectly reduce your anxiety (also directly, by making you more tired before bed).

@@SecretAgentx1 I would say I'm doing alright thanks for asking. Understanding the importance of discipline and keeping promise's to myself more and more. As soon as I start letting these things slip for more than few days then some kind of anxiety or needless worrie thoughts wants to creep back in.

I never really thought about it before, but I only began to look internally and look for solutions whilst in therapy as well. At the time I didn't feel like therapy was that helpful for me, but just the act of seeking solutions to my problems set me on a trajectory I could never have imagined back then. Keep up the amazing content ❤

Keep going Bedros Keuilian, yesterday I had an anxiety attack and I can relate, I had credit card debt, worried about everybody elses opinion. I resolved my anxiety attack through belief, especially the book you recommened us to hear "Outwitting the devil" the positive thought and selfbelief. I ate healthy I was literally chewing on tomatos to heal and ate protein and nutritious fruits such as strawberry, bannana. Please double down on the healthy eating because it is critical!

I also have anxiety attacks on certain occassions (like when I have to speak in front of people at the job) and I've found that exercise in the morning really helps. The harder the exercise, the calmer I get and the better the mood I have.

That same shit happened to me at 43. Tunnel vision, sweating buckets, lost feeling in my limbs, and my hands wouldn't work. Anxiety attacks are no joke! By all means, get your heart checked, folks; Knowing that it's not your ticker is one less huge thing to worry about!

I went to a retreat once and the speaker broke us up into groups of 10- prob 500 people there. She told us to write the top 5 “bitch voices” or the worst things we say to ourselves on a daily. So we all did… then she says to hand your notebook to the person on your left! The room gasped in horror. Then the sobbing started. Of the 500 people there, 95% of us had written the same thing. That was such a break through moment for me with anxiety- we all have the same talks in our heads. It’s nothing special and that helps me calm down and realize I’m just like everyone else❤

99% is mad high I would say incongruency and self sabotage is an issue for a lot of people with depression and anxiety, but I would say at most it's 50-60% some people usually have some sort of comorbidity with those issues, like ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar etc. Plus peoples diets, overstimulation and lack of connection are seriously messing with their mental health, I've had gut issues and when I'm isolated my mental health is in the pits. Mental health can be simple to some degree, sleep exercise "eat healthy" build connections, but its also a lot more nuanced and complicated than people would like to admit.

Man, thank you for this. This hits the spot. I've come to most of these realizations over the past few months by myself, but having it being confirmed by someone I look up to really cements it into reality. Looking forwards to conquering this shit.

Thanks for the explanation of the physiological effects. I've long wondered what "anxiety" is. I've heard the "anticipation of future pain" description plenty, but I was at a loss beyond that. I know so many people who won't do _simple_ things because of "muh anxiety" and I've never understood it. My friend's girlfriend won't _drive_ because of "anxiety" and she's freaking 34 years old. Now I understand it's how I felt every freaking morning when I had a construction job years ago. I hated going to work and being surrounded by these dope smoking deadbeat methhead losers all day. There was an actual literal crackhead on the crew. Every day was hell. I'd wake up with this feeling of dread every single morning.

I used to think that I wanted to be an animator, never really took a huge step in that direction, but after years and years of not truly committing to animation, the times I did try I never truly found the fulfillment I desired, not the nudge that would make me drop everything and pursue this. Ultimately, all I can really think of is that I'd like to make a lot of money and not worry about financial hardships, I don't really care if I am alone forever and never find a woman, but I'd simply like to have enough money to travel a bit and have a good time, but I can honestly say that I don't really even know who I am, I have no idea what my calling is, I jump from one boring soul-sucking factory job to the next. What should someone like me do to really find out who I am and what I'm passionate about? The only thing I can really think of is that I enjoy going for runs.

Honestly man anxiety is just letting your fears steal away your joy. It's a colossal waste of time to exist like this, eventually you gotta realize just how hilariously unnecessary it is to have all those knots twisted up in your chest, especially knowing that you have complete control over your thoughts. Thank you for this 🔥

Anxiety is anticipation of future pain, or the energy we observe within ourselves indicating incongruencies between reality and expectations. This is perhaps the most useful nugget, thank you. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired. These states will exacerbate any indicative emotions such as anxiety or anger. When overcoming anxiety suppressants such as addiction, maintain acute awareness upon these four states of being. If these energies are allowed to grow, than your willpower and resiliency will be slashed proportionately. It is very interesting to note that deliberately ignoring said anxiety can lead to extremely nasty cases of neurosis. By deliberately, simply being unaware of what anxiety is, is enough to ignore it.

Youre right brother but, you did not fear the fear right? You had an anxiety attack but not an anxiety disorder or panic disorder? In case you do have that. You body sends fals alarms to you body. You get an adrenaline rush which goes to alp your organs. Thats why we all feel like we are having a hearth attack and so on. Understand the panic and anxiety. Dont fight when you get an attack, this creates more adrenalin. Accept the attack and go on. Dont focus on the fals alarm/symptoms. Float trough the panic attack. And never avoid places because of panic/anxiety. This wires a message in the brain and next your brain fires a false alarm again for something less fearful. For everyone with anxiety and panic disorder. Understand anxiety first, exposure. Accept and float. Dont wait to seek help. Its treadable and you are healthy

I just had one of the MOST severe panic attacks myself yesterday! Heart started racing up to mid 130s to 140+ bpm and maintained that rate for what felt like forever! The emotions you spoke of you were going through was what I had going on as well. I know what caused it, but when I mentioned it to someone, of course, it always results back to someone giving an excuse. This was the first & Last time I will ever inform anyone about this ever again. Hopefully, next time, it'll be enough for me to go flat lined 🤞 🙏 I am over this shit.
