They contain oils and other ingredients that can cause lifting ☺️ I do dry manicuring to ensure the best adhesion. Plus when using manicure efile bits, you do not want the skin to be wet.

A primer is like a double sided sticky tape, and the bonder is what actually allows the product to bond to the natural nail. They also have acid primers which is good for someone with oily nails or lifters but should be used sparingly.
