I started watching your videos a few months ago, i started a cscs course this week with a 4-week capentry boot camp after i finish that course . All because of you, i ended up applying for that course while i was watching your videos, and I've made a start. Thank you.

Love the videos mate, panelled my mates hall stairs and landing a few weeks back, stairs were a disaster, I essentially lost a full day on them until I figured everything out, I’m still new to all this myself but watching your videos helps give me confidence in myself so thanks for that!

Good to see how you enjoy your work, love the video's. About the charging, there is nothing wrong with getting paid a bit more for a stressful job with everything perfectly leveled. Keep it up!

Been watching your videos for a while now and it’s been a joy to watch, I’m amazed at how you have managed after having your tools stolen and have come through this. Love the work you have done on this renovation and whilst you have undercharged on some of the jobs… overall you have had a lot of work from this customer so I would be happy with the overall pricing. I am also self employed and do very similar jobs to what you post and it’s very interesting to see your pricing and makes me feel more confident with my own prices. Keep up the great work and keep posting the vids as I’m sure everyone who watches these gets a lot from them. Have also subscribed 👍

I’ve been doing paneling on doors to make them look old for old flats and I find it easiest to measure it out like you have done but then cut all the parts and form them together with impact adhesive on the ground before nailing them. found it is a bit faster than one length at a time and easier nailed. Means you can cut all parts for the wall at the same time and saves trips to the saw 😊

I've done it a few times, and the stairs is the hardest most frustrating part of the job. Tried using mathematics, inside angles etc. nightmare, ended up doing it by eye once . Ridiculous. I've since bought a nice little gadget that transfers the angles to the mitre saw. Much easier.

Love your videos, great job and keep up the great work. I remember a while back you asked if anyone had any ideas how to improve your videos? Well, just a suggestion, at the end when you summarise, don't look at yourself on the device you are recording on (your phone?) but instead look into the device's lens, It makes it far more engaging for your audience when you look directly at them instead of to one side. All the top KZbinrs use this little trick - try it next time and you'll see what I mean. Hope you understand.

Your well under charged them mate, I get that around Brum it’s a bit less of a day rate than some areas but for that job they got an absolute bargain at £1200, imo opinion you’re worth more than that but I’m sure it’s a regular client and he’ll give you more work!

Nice job although it looks odd not continuing the panelling round on to the small returns/walls. Maybe that was the customers decision. I do think £1200 is a tad cheap personally.

How many lengths of moulding did you use? I hope you got it at a decent trade price because if you buy right it is around £2.50 a length, not £7.00 or more like the DIY stores charge. I’m in the middle of quite a complicated panel job with machined frames and raised panels.

Yes, very much a personal taste thing. The next owner might want to get rid of it, then have to re-plaster every wall after ripping the adhesive off.

I am a finish carpenter however; I do not know everything even at my age I learn everyday! On paneling one has to figure for accumulative error which is figured into your math ? If you use like a construction pro math program it automatically adjusts for it? Example if your panel is figured off a space L x W = ? ; if your panels figure 24.2 in each space it’s actually 24.22222/? Then rounded to the nearest number. That is accumulating error ! You hv to be aware of that & I am betting you are?
