Hey Alex it's been awhile since we last spoke. I'm in good health, but it's been a rough couple of months. On 05 February my wife of 30 years left me and the kids. And have been dealing with this depression crap for about 6 months now. I am starting to feel better. I have been watching all the videos on your current build and I do throughly enjoy them. You're doing an outstanding job. Again sorry for losing touch, but sometimes life gets in the way. Looking forward to talking to you again. Thank you for being my friend and understanding what I am going through. God bless.

@@AlexModeling hi Alex. I just have to "get back on the horse". I do feel a lot better. I haven't touched any of the kits I've been working on. Going to buy a Tamiya airbrush spray-work HG 3 super fine. Do you think it's a good airbrush? Talk to you soon. Stay safe.
@AlexModeling2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is! Tamiya is always good stuff. You stay ssfe!

@@AlexModeling I was thinking about buying the new Revell Germany 1/72nd "Razorcrest" it looks awesome and all new tooling. What airbrush ready metallic paint do you recommend? I would like to stick with acrylic paints.

Also shrouds are parcelled & served and painted black. you might be able to paint the shrouds with black paint making them thicker to even up the scale discrepency .

And ratlines are blakened down with stockholm tar. And the model will have a nice real ship smell if it reeks of sckholm tar, linseed oil, and terps.

Hello, have a look at "Harry Houdini Models" and his Making a Ratline Harp Tool for the Revell Bounty dated 4th May 2022. He gets a very neat result.
@servantofgod564211 ай бұрын
should get thinner line or shave it or its too out of scale. in reality the shrouds. are around 2 inches thick and the ratlines are about the size of your little finger. maybe try dental floss.
