Caleb Anderson 8000 size reel and an extra heavy 8ft rod! 50-100lb or more.

Hey if you ever fished down by John's pass I think that's where you're at right here at the bridge go to Gators on the pass and off their back dock right there under the lights a lot of people don't know about it but you got to use live pen dish there is some of the biggest horse snook you ever catch there's some really big and also there's some nice group of back here too I go back there and order a picture of beer something to eat and every so often I usually have one at the local kids come down and I have more fun watching them hook into one of them big snook but I am one of your new subscribers I have seen about four of your videos and enjoyed all of them keep them coming

@@kristopherturner3016 I personally would go with a 6k reel Penn or Shimano 40lb braid 50lb or 60lb leader material. For the rod I’d look into a st croix avid 8ft heavy 17-40. Powerhouse combo to throw 1oz-2oz jigs, yet still light for what it is especially if you go with a 6k Shimano Saragosa

@@Thonny You don't need a 6k reel and a St croix Rod. 3k or 4k reel with 15-20lb braid is absolutely fine. I've caught large snook on a 3k EASY! I prefer a 7'6" medium heavy rod. Great cast distance for lure or live bait. Strong backbone for snook and red fish.
