I have felt total collapse of ego before where I was just aware of a black void for a minute or so and it was very peaceful until I realised what was happening and my ego took over again. An issue I have with non-duality is that it causes existential anxiety. I’ll be feeling this expansiveness and then just go “why on earth is this happening then?”. My intuition says that because there is something, there has to be infinite experience that arises out of the universal awareness and this awareness must just be an absolute. Our egos will die, we will experience the love of rejoicing with the whole and then we will become aware of a new experience? I wonder if you have any advice on finding peace in these existential thoughts once one experiences our true nature

Thoughts never go away. You just no longer take them personally/identity with them. From what I understand.
