Thank you so much! I’m new to 3d printing just got a mask, 2 in 2 filler and 150 to 600 grit sandpaper. Waiting on my red filler to come that you used in this video. Do I need acetone? Seen other tutorials where people just put the red paste on without acetone.

Can I applied plastic wood filler to my pvc helmet material?
@bryanmclarty5140 Жыл бұрын
I’m trying this! I couldn’t really tell if during the application phase, after it’s on the part, you don’t want to see any print lines through the bondo/acetone mix, correct? If you can see them, you need to apply a little thicker or a second layer?
@naterritchey19 Жыл бұрын
You want to sand down to where you see lines. You basically building up the low areas to meet thr highs. Usually takes a couple coats but dries super fast. That's the big advantage to this method over something like coating it in epoxy resin.

Benefits to the spot putty versus epoxy resin besides the time savings?
@naterritchey19 Жыл бұрын
Easier to sand, more control and doesn't cover details. I'm sure there are more but the time saving part is the biggest and the best benefit.
