Great advice! I just bought a brand new Wyse 5060 w box and all accessories for $50CAD. Seller didn't list specs and couldn't tell me them, but I figured out there was only one possible spec. I'll be buying a 2nd hand system for my first homelab. I always thought it would be cost restricted to have a great system or one that executes tasks well for its time. It's so great to learn and continuously gain an advantage in the resale market.

yo i got a question, so when you install windows 10 on the computer, how do you leave it for the customer? like is it in the setup screen for windows or if its just in the windows desktop after the setup, how do you get rid of the name and password that the person would have had to setup if you left it on the setup screen in windows?
@McBurgerDeluxe7 ай бұрын
This is an older comment but I hope it helps someone. I flip PC's locally pretty normally. When installing windows on the pc, i will put something generic like "USER" as the sign on name and you can bypass putting a password by just clicking enter when it asks for you to enter a password during windows install. This will make it where you turn on the pc, it goes to the desktop, without a password. I do this so i can download any updated drivers and get windows up to date. I'll usually download a browser like Brave or Chrome. I also find a wallpaper for a relevant game. I've noticed that helps when taking pics for the ad, gets more attention. My goal is to always make it a seamless transition for the customer. Just plug and play. It's usually their first computer and they don't know about drivers and keeping them up to date. If you talk to them about this and other upgrade paths they can take with the PC they are buying, I've noticed they will come back to you with more work. So, always try to be as helpful as you can when selling them a computer. When i first started, i would get messages about people not getting signal on their monitor due to them sticking the HDMI cord in the motherboard instead of the GPU. This made me change the ways I sold after that. I would ask questions to find out how familiar they with computers and that would determine how in depth I get during the sale. Sorry for the long winded comment. Always try to improve! Hope that helps someone!

@@McBurgerDeluxe thank you a lot, lately ive just been giving the customer the windows setup for them to deal with and then gave them instructions on how to install drivers. With this info though, I will probably end up doing what you do as it seems much more efficient. Thanks

Do you think it's feasible to sell a gaming pc without RGB in it in todays market?

Yes. Rgb is not important.

This kind of source of income is really good sadly when it comes to computer components/parts in my country its 3 times as costly even the used parts so....
@twowheelsusedtech76282 жыл бұрын
Well if they sell at a comparative price then you should still be able to manage something similar to this, just all the values and prices would be increased?
@Zero.Requiem2 жыл бұрын
@@twowheelsusedtech7628 nah, there are wholesalers here who buys bulks of old hardware and build a pc out of it. That's the real problem cause someone like me can't really compete against their prices as their mark up is base on quantity cause they buy at bulk(im talking 50-100 at a time) and sell it individually at retail(used). But i might still try this, i can only get burn so many times and learn my lesson. 😁

Isn't it funny how Intel's new 13th gen i3 can keep up with the I-9 and almost every 4K game within 10 FPS... People are going out and spending all of their money on a brand-new processor they will never utilized but maybe they will learn
