I had a feeling that the next video would be about coloring when I saw the Ayame art in the community post. Great video again, full of helpful tips and I really appreciate that you also talk about the mistakes you made during the process! I want to point out two tips you mention in the video because I have confirmed myself that they are extremely helpful: 1) The importance of having references on hand and having the drawing planned out as much as possible before doing lineart and coloring. Having the drawing planned out makes the execution so much easier! It can also save you a lot of painful time, fixing mistakes. 2) Studying things you want to incorporate into your art is so helpful! If you don't understand how to draw something, take some time to just look at it and try to understand the shape, then draw it from different angles/in different variations. You can apply this to literally anything you want to draw. Thanks for the guide Ori! Your videos have been really helpful so far on my journey to learn art! And your Ayame art came out so well!🚌

Exactly! At first I didn't understand what it means to "understand how things work" but one time I just got enlightened all of a sudden and boom I understood it. Maybe it's just because of my lil brain still I don't think I'm the only one who didn't get it it's just over a week since I started so that's that

@@oridaysThank you for the video, your work looks much better than others. I'm from Russia and I watch you through automatic translation of neural network, so all videos with robot voice 😂 I'm a man of action, so I paint every day. In a couple weeks I managed to get some beautiful faces like yours. I'm telling the truth. But for now I only draw the head without the body, every day I draw the head from different angles, erase and draw a new character directly from the head I find it easier that way than looking at a reference. By drawing a new character every day from the head it gives me a chance to work out elements like eyes, mouth nose and so on over and over again. Then I'll move on to the body In addition to this I also draw about an hour extra before work many times lines, circles, squares. Since I am a beginner my hand still sometimes does not obey, so I already feel his hand stronger. God, I've never had so much fun before. All this I'm doing to not be an artist, I need it for animation. I'm an animator. All I want to say is please make more tutorials, but don't forget to rest. I want more knowledge, more lessons from you

This channel is very rare and you deserve more subscribers! I don't see much English-speaking art tutorials without mentioning C/o/l/o/s/o 💀. The subtitles and timestamps are very helpful too. This video is veeeery complete, If I was a teacher, I will rate this video 100/100 score. I'm planning to draw anime illustrations all the way because that's the reason why I started drawing in the first place. I wanted to seek genuine Japanese tutorial from drawing illustrations with this kind of art style. And this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you Oridays! 🚌

Something I found out is that a lot of my process is similar to yours, such as the shadow rules or the clip layer of the lineart. I always thought they weren't efficient methods because I happened to come up with them. I guess it was just me being slow, but good to know that others artists are doing the same.

I always thought I was a beginner artist. But after seeing this, I understand how much of a beginner artist I truely am. Man, I do about 10% of your effort. I can clearly see why yours and other professional illustrator's arts look so overwhelmingly better. It's still overwhelming to me, but I at least now have a way to improve. And your videos, seem so much more relatable (even though I never did many stuff you do for illustration) than others. Which is helpful. I am glad, I became one of your followers just yesterday. Also, love your art. They look very nice. A gentle balance between attractive and stylish. Most other pictures I find online are usually full on attractive, that they don't even have cool and beautiful clothes. Some are overwhelmingly stylish that I don't understand. But, yours are quite gentle on the eye and I love it. And I love fantasy stuff, so even better.
