The authorities saved you from getting ripped off by taxi drivers. Those guys who claim to help you with the taxi will actually rip you off by over charging you. The best option is always to book a cab through the taxi stands available at the airport and have a receipt with the correct amount you need to pay. Or you could book an Uber or Ola cab and go in that. It's my personal experience that taxi guys who approach you as you come out of airport are there to rip you off, if they come anywhere close to you, refuse them and ask them to leave you alone.

Wow .. totally enjoyed your experience video. Few months ago - I appliedd 4 a student visa. X-2 Global Entry visa Cost me: 300$ to compile Rejected I know how complex... How difficult it is 2 du what you have done. Can anyone afford to fly SO FAAAR to lndia. Just for a 30 days visa? the infrastructure of lndia takes alot of time to deal with. I spent 12 years there they 40 years of time. So I know They should give 3 month tourist visas. India has all the ancient Hindu holy places. India could allow us foreign Hindu people time there to do sadhana in those places: Rishikesh Kanyakumari Ayodhya Udupi Mayapur & a thousand other places

Also just curious for long term visas are you supposed to visit the nearest police station for a verification/attendence. Back in the days this was a requirement. Not sure this rule still exists.

Hey do you know how long you can stay in India with the 1year multiple entry Indian tourist visa? Some say we need to exit in 180days and come back. Some says it's 90days. Could you please explain?
@bjenks6 ай бұрын
depends your country and visa. USA, Canada, Japan is 180 days, other places can be less. But new rule also states only 180 days in a year, so I will have to leave for 2024 soon as it's getting close and I can't come back until 2025

I want to move to India and stay for as long as possible dealing with visas as little as possible. Is this the best way? I have an indie game d I am selling and developing, would choosing to program that while living in india count for a business visa? I appreciate you making this video, I can't seem to find any other youtubers talking about how they are staying in india for so long
@gradstudent5843 жыл бұрын
As far as I know, any income you make as a resident of India (a resident is anyone staying for more than 180 days a year) can be taxed. There are some technicalities like say you make some money on investments abroad. That profit cannot be taxed until you bring it into India. But, if you are receiving money from family, that will not be taxed since it's considered gift. So, decide accordingly how you would like to receive money. For the visa part, I am not very sure. But, I think citizenship requires 12 years of continuous residency in India or 7 years if you marry an Indian citizen. You will definitely have to ask a lawyer for details.

Glad you took the business visa as it's the correct one if you are doing anything in India that can derive income worldwide. Vlogging or writing software when in India is technically working and you can be in violation of a tourist visa if you do it for more than a short visit. Nobody wants s blacklist. Now that you have been in India for more than 180 days since April 1st 2021, you are technically a resident for tax purposes. I was always warned by my PWC accountants to carry my tax receipt when leaving India. I was never asked for it, but the accountants would freak out about trouble with the ED. It's not too bad. You need to pay 4 times of you are self employed. Tax is assessed on worldwide income so anything you get from investments prior to arriving in India you can get a credit on your us taxes which we all must file. It's likely that unless you received pandemic benefits your standard deduction will cover this and you will have no us taxes. In India all youtube and work as well as is interest is taxable as a resident it's global income for residents. It's a pain as there are few deductions, but if you have a company you can depreciate your assets. Best of luck You are doing things correctly so you will have no issues with immigration on any future visa runs. I think the paper buisness visa for USA citizens is 10 years, but it takes a week or two to get
