Hey Saptarshi, your journey has been truly incredible! It's definitely deserving of being turned into a film at some point, and I genuinely mean that. I also hope you achieve even greater success in the future and contribute to our nation's recognition on the global stage. As a designer, it would be a source of immense pride for all of us in our country to see you reach such heights. Wishing you all the best, my friend!

This sounds kinda like a relatable story, I have been desinging for a long time now as a hobby never took it seriously until recently when i got an internship based on my design skills lol. I am still confused as I am also a developer who loves coding but form a couple of weeks i m really enjoying designs. lets see where this journey will take me

Haha, feels nostalgic. I remembering you telling me some aspects of this story when you came for the TED Talk at my college months back. I still have them fresh in my mind but listening to it altogether again but with much more context and depth, it hypes me up back again💝💝

Great story, lessons learned, be so good they can't ignore you! I am doing my best to upskill as a UX designer, finding it hard to land even an internship. Your story motivated me to keep going and upskilling. One day, surely I will land a good internship/job. Thanks, bro!

I am pretty sure that you worked hard in your design career. But can we all agree that having even an irrelevant degree from an IIT really does help you put your foot in the door. Because what happens is recruiters already assume that this person might not have the relevant experience but since they're from an IIT they must be intelligent enough to catch up or perform. Now not at all trying to be mean or bring anyone down. Just trying to say that there are latent advantages like this along with the hard work that helps one if not climb the ladder then at least make people have enough trust in you.
@Kagemusha2476 ай бұрын
Of course it will. Sure there are exceptional people with normal backgrounds who can get in. But if u take an above average guy 1 from an IIT/NID and the other with the same leveo of skillset but from a local college/non related degree, the first guy will almost always get more preference as well as a better starting package.

I know many so called designers like you, who are not good at designing but great at speaking and surviving any how by their friends referrals
@saptarshipr Жыл бұрын
Haha, I see you've had your fair share of designer encounters! Well, I can't speak for all designers out there, but I promise to keep brushing up my design skills. And hey, if you ever need any design help, don't hesitate to give me a shout. I'll do my best to prove there's more to me than just talking! 😉
@nisham5311 Жыл бұрын
Saptarshi Prakash - Such a classic reply. Respect youtokhan - Speaking alone won't enable anyone to ascend the corporate ladder. Must possess the refined skills required to take on the role of Design Director within a company

Yae these are just marketing experts, and know their audiences very well though, and I know how much designing is happening in Swiggy.
