Hi Archer, your videos are awesome! Every tip and technique really helps in every way. Currently making SACE Stage 1 Subject selections and you're helping me make more informed decisions! Thanks for being so genuine in the way you introduce techniques like the Kolb's Cycle

Hey Archer, great video! It's insane how underrated you are, the amount of effort you put into your videos is insane. I definitely think you're gonna have a larger audience someday, you deserve it! So I tried making a mind-map of everything that was mentioned in the video. I just want to confirm what the sequence of studying is: Inquiry based learning -> mind mapping the conceptual ideas -> Exam/Practice problems (aided with kolbs). Is this correct?

Thank you Shashpal! Appreciate it! ☺️ Yep, as a stepping stone that would be right 🙂

Hey Archer! I have seen a ton of your videos and they are really really helpful, so thank you so much!!! I just would like some advice on one thing that is not related to studies. I mean, in high school studies aren't the only things one has to stress about. There are other things and if I am specific, overthinking and bullies. Now a few of my classmates (kinda friends of mine) sometimes bully me, not anything serious but just light-hearted ones since they know I am easy to pick on. I KNOW THEY DON'T MEAN IT. I JUST KNOW IT. But after school ends, these things still stay on my mind because I am an overthinker with a hella sensitive personality (a Pisces basically). This sometimes ends up affecting my studies cuz I am an A+ student and strive to study everyday. So my question to you, If you were to give me any advice, what would it be. Maybe not specifically to my situation but in general. How to not stress out about things that I KNOW aren't gonna matter in 2 or fewer years time??? Please please please repllyyy
@ArcherNewton3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gaurika, thank you so much for your kind comment! I think a lot of high achievers experience some sort of teasing for their grades and yes it can be light-hearted but it can still have an impact. It really depends how you want to deal with it, but you could join in on the jokes as well. If they are friends of yours, you could mention to them how it makes you feel. If you don't feel comfortable saying anything that's ok too, just remember that you're probably where they want to be and they're making fun of you because it makes them feel better about themselves. Everyone is insecure about something! It's hard but try not to overthink it, they probably don't even remember saying it so don't take it personally. Success is usually lonely but that's what it takes, I really hope that helps! :)

You kept saying don’t take linear notes, what should we do instead? For example, what do we do when the teacher is telling us info, or when we’re reading through the textbook?

I just started year 11 physics, going into term 2 soon and I feel worried about year 12. Right now i find physics ATAR pretty easy and am getting 85% and got 97% on my last test. But i fear thats its going to get much harder later on as thats what my teacher says. Im top of the class currently so my friends get mad if i talk about my fear for next year as they're doing worse. So just wondering how did you find the difficulty jump from Year 11 to year 12.
@Sasukej20042 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm in Queensland Australia and I'm using the QCAA atar curriculum. For me personally, year 11 physics is extremely easy and I got perfect grade (I was the top in my school for physics- physics subject award) and even got 100% on the final exam in yr11. However, the thing was that I never actually liked yr11 physics and was always more interested in yr12 physics and its contents, so i also studied it before we start the actual content. I find it very intuitive if you have a full grasp of the concept, and in order to understand it well, you just have to learn it and do it for a long time. So i recommend just keep doing practice problems and keep learning ahead of the class to do well in yr12 physics, its not that much harder trust me!

other way round for me, year 11 physics I didn't care and did poorly on every sac and now in year 12 I've gotten over 90 on every sac
