I’m gonna hurt my own ego by admitting this, I completely failed all of my exam this year and I’ve attended every single class for the first semester. Thought I was going to be better off by studying alone but my brain and my own mind failed me as it didn’t go to where I hoped, throughout this summer I hope to get my shit together and learn a better way to nail all my exams because I don’t wanna be a victim to my own procrastination and exam anxiety anymore. I’ve gotten an idea on how to do this now,, up until now I’ve just straight up crammed through the first layer and then focused on the third layer . I’m gonna start spending more attention to understanding before I can focus on equations and the hard stuff. Thank you kind sir and I wish well to whoever sits on the same path as me! I will see you guys in a year or 5 months when I’m retaking my exam 💀. Bless

It is amazing how some people share their personal struggles and challenges with complete strangers. I know this is done for several reasons. The biggest one-- the annoynimty of social media platforms. And another: to let people know they are not alone in their struggles/challenges. But we know this. Our struggles/challenges are human not some mindless robot or Donald Trump.
@robin25672 ай бұрын
@@marvelouss719 I think,, by admitting your humility to strangers online also kind of gives you some sort of clarity about what you truly want. and it holds you accountable too. and well it feels less shameful then telling someone Irl.

Couldn’t help but notice that when you were on the computer on split screen, your notes on the left were very artistic and clearly not mind maps. Will you do a video about how you make those notes? Lastly using a program like Remnote or others you can make your questions into cards with answers and do active intermittent recall with the ones you got wrong coming up periodically.

Hi thanks for the great video, How much is your encoding efficiency after you adopt this techbique? How many pages of med textbook can you encode on a day using this method? What will you do, when the details are overwhelmingly huge ( normal for medicine right ) , even after layer 1 and layer 2, you will have a huge amount of details right, how do you deal with it for subjects like medicine, where the details part is huge? I am eagerly waiting for your Next video
@zain_asif10 ай бұрын
Depends on the topic tbh. For highly detailed pathophys or pharma guidelines etc. I incorporate memory techniques within the 3rd layer of learning so it's easier to visualise and memorise. Better than just making a ton of questions or flashcards on them and rote learning. And if you mean understanding and link info through encoding, then I haven't really measured the pages but you can go through a LOT and keep it in your head for a lot longer if you take it in layers. Do less mindmapping etc if you have less time obviously.

Instead of questions u make its better to use exams questions and problems from places like FA, UWorld These help u to revise based on relationships between informations, specially questions that test on multiple infos at a time like giving u an image and asking for ttt So u need to know symptoms connected to the image, and then know diagnosis then ttt with also understanding examination findings and images CT scan etc
@RayanZozo-x7b8 ай бұрын
Cuz ur r doing great way in 1st layer by connecting stuff but in the 2nd layer where connecting infos is more important u resorted to take them as individual informations not in a structure and in ur recall and revision process as well
