I became addicted to fragrances during covid I was smelling perfumes as a way to confirm that I didn’t lose my sense of smell or taste 😂 then I used it as “aromatherapy” at bed time. I collected around 50 bottles (not to bad) before I decided to stop. Now I am using all of them until I got the last drop to not waste my money.

I feel like Covid was such a launching pad for a lot of people getting really into fragrances! Congrats on your commitment to a no buy period, you got this! ;)

I stopped. Limit myself to 2 at Christmas and in April. Finis!

I only have 8 bottles, but 4 I ordered only this month 😭 I had plans on ordering a few more and had to pause and think about what was happening! After my last “blind buy” I realized these influencer reviews were BS

Thanks so much for this video, I 've just discovered you and of course subscribed immediately. Fragrances can do magic! I will keep your words in my heart : "Life is just happening now . Let's embrace it now" You are so right!Oh my God I have burst into tears! I can't wear Bright Crystal and Si ,the first reminds me of my sister -in- law who passed away at the age of 40 and the other because on the way to my elder daughter's University we had a car accident ,fortunately no one was hurt but it was my younger daughter's birthday, so even though I like Si I can't wear it anymore. Thanks for the insight!

I got a decant finally!! Angel's Share has been taking over my life (well...the Oakcha dupe), and literally haven't worn anything but for the past month straight!!!

We're only a year apart lol. I started wearing Glo by JLo I got 🤣that was my signature scent, and the only good fragrance I owned in 2000s

New subscriber here! I love how you associate each scent with a certain memory and how there's a story behind every fragrance you've used! It's the same thing with me. I recently got a sample of this scent I've been wearing in 2019 and it reminded me so much of pre-pandemic times. It made me tear up a bit, but that's just me being dramatic lol! Quick question - do you still presently use the fragrances associated with a certain time of your life?
@thatsmellsdivine Жыл бұрын
Welcome to the fam Julie, so happy to have you here! And that's such a great question!! I really only use those fragrances when I want to conjure up the feelings associated with the scent memory. Which can be like opening Pandora's box emotionally LOL!! I'm scared that if I wear them regularly, I'll lose that memory connection. What is the fragrance you were wearing in 2019? I've also been feeling a little weepy nostalgic for pre-2020 times myself!

I just found your channel! Great and interesting journey. Keep it up. I just turned 40 too and I can remember wearing scents from the age of 13. Some ones from back in the day: baby soft, ocean dream- worn exclusively in h.s., bcbg girls star and Calvin klein escape in college. In my 20s and 30s most of the time I was just a signature scent girl. In the past 2 years my collection has grown a lot but it has been so much fun exploring scents and the history behind perfume. Random if you are ever in Illinois there is a perfume museum in Barrington Il Perfume Passage. Anyway keep up the vids!

I heard it's been reformulated so I got a decant instead of springing for a full bottle. Sadly, it's not as good as it was back in 2010 but it's STILL a great fragrance.
