Great video, thanks for sharing it. The most important thing for SMMA is to have some kind of strategy (for example I use some boosting tools, like a little bit of Famester here and there, and it really helps massively). The best thing is that clients are not complaining as long as they see good results.

Unless you are a high-end agency I don't understand this business model! You need to sell a SOLUTION, not a website! A website by itself does nothing to a business. You need to diversify offering other services like SEO, Advertising, Social Media Management, Content Writing, etc. You don't even have to do it yourself, outsource them. SEO packages can go from $500 to $1900 a month every month. I was a starving Web Designer until I understood this. 😉

@@gavinwiener this part! Start with your website, then offer SEO, maintenance, etc. I did freelance websites as a side hustle to a regular 9 to 5 and got maybe a client or 2 a month and then another month without. But when I started offering other services my income increased.

Why would you send them the loom? If they’re interested, tell them it’s not live and show them on a call. Then you have an easy booked meeting and can start the sales process.

Agree that service delivery is super easy and have 100% profit margins. BUT the number of clients, if they all pay you $50 a month, you need here to get to $10k are 200! Ridiculous amount for a manual agency like yours. It works for companies like wix and and stuff, but for small companies like yours it's gonna be a while till you get to a solid monthly income with this. Either way wish you success.

it would help if they charged an upfront cost for the setup. For example 999 dollars and then the monthly costs. This would atleast get some cashflow, but then its still a long journey.

The point is he is gaining more clients per month, as long as you find the right strategy to get at least a few more clients per month and charging at $3,400 for a amazing quality website upfront he will easily be making the 10k a month he is nearly there

Be careful with most of the American software stuff because it's mostly illegal anyway in the European Union. GDPR is no joke and it could work but at some point you're going to face legal issues. Americans don't care because there's mostly no data protection laws. Some exceptions are states like Calfiornia but that's not comparable to the EU. Maybe take a look at Torben Platzers new podcast episodes and check him out. He does it in Germany.

You mentioned that we shouldn't design a whole website for one single person because obviously it will be very time consuming, but then you said that to close the client, you invite them to a loom call and show them the website you made for them. I am confused as to whether we should design a whole website for them and then show them it on the loom call, or only partially design a website and show that to the client on the loom call. Hey Jake so I create a website template that I can quickly duplicate, but when doing outreach I just use the canva template because it still takes quite a bit of time to edit a website and change all the names and photos just to do one outreach

Issue with the video before for me (coming from working in a web agency). How will you convince the people to pay a monthly fee for 100 dollars a month. Prices on other webhosting sites are from 6-10 dollars. So how will you convince them to do that? What if the client cancels on you, he/she has the right to get their website with them if they want to move. You see where my issue is?

Yeah you can create a contract exactly, and explain to them that for the website to run it needs a server to host it which costs x amount per month. Set the expectations before you close them
