i feel like the issue with tumblr is that the people using it try to label every aspect of their confusion instead of working through it n actually discovering themself. especially since theyre really young. theyll figure things out eventually

like when i was 12 i used lots of xenogenders n even coined some of my own (which were never used by anybody lmao) because i was confused about my identity, then recently realized i was just sick of gender in general so im just a normal nonbinary. i feel like microlabels only serve to detriment the learning experience given how easily they can be coined n how easily discoverable yet difficult to explain they are

@@gothicwvlff im really late, but this is actually a common thing among some people who use xenogenders (i think there is even a term coined for this experience), but they aren't too confusing if you don't overwhelm yourself with the concept of it. yeah, xenos can really confuse some people, especially because of how easy going most people are with identifying with certain terms and how others just "collect" them. but, if anything, i think that xenos are part of the learning experience itself. because some people actually identify with them, while others don't. some people have phases were they believe that they're connected to certain xenos and identify with them, but for others, it isn't just a phase.
