Sometimes when either of my brothers (though usually the older of the two) doesn’t get something or get to go somewhere, they’ll ask me to ask our parents because I don’t usually ask for stuff and when I do I’ll usually get it. "deep and personal story" I did that. My teacher for English told us to write about our holidays as we came off them and to share with the class, long story short, I explained in gruesome detail how I broke my clavicle, dislocated my shoulder and cracked my skull open on the first week of the holidays and that I couldn't miss school because nothing would stop me from getting a perfect record....well she went straight to the deans and told them, now I have a permanent mark on me saying 'clinically insane' because of that. Oh and I did go to counseling for the reason of 'torturing young minds' so yeah.

English teacher: right about a deep emotional memory! Me: it all started about 38 months before I was born, my mom decided to stop drinking so she could have kids, she had my sister 10 later and in 3 years she had me, my dad never stopped drinking and slowly as me and my sister grew up he got worse. When I was 13 he got really drunk and angry and he threw me out of a chair and tried to pump soap in my mouth because I “don’t respect him enough”. I hid in the bathroom crying with 911 dialed. Now I have daddy issues and a horrible fear of alcohol and pretty much any abusable substance in fear that if I go down the deep inescapable rabbit whole my father did I will turn out the way he did and hurt those I wish to protect. About the deep personal memory essay thing: I've never had a deep personal memory that impacted my life, so I'd just say things that happened and pretend like that had some significance, like I remember righting an essay about my fish dying, I have no memory of that fish, but damn I made it sound like that was my first experience finding out about death and not from tv. They really do be asking an elementary schooler (also also high schooler, but I had nothing to say at that time either) about life changing events.

Fellow Hetalian here! I'd love to explain. Lin Manuel Miranda wrote Hamilton, a musical about the founding fathers. John Green wrote a lot of popular YA romance novels such as The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns. The original post points out that both creators were/are practically worshipped by their teenaged tumblr fanbase. The creators have that sensitive and quirky persona that their fans adore. Since both Hamilton and Hetalia are based off history and sparked sudden interests in history among young audiences (as well as a lot of weird fanfiction), it can be said that "Lin Manuel Miranda is John Green if John Green had written and produced Hetalia." I hope I explained that well enough, I felt pretty ramble-y while writing it.
