I have a successful clothing brand, this is literally the truth, what you can do though is if you do a successful drop, cut a nice 2-4k cut per drop and diversify your products so that new items are landing every month, get into 2-4week drop schedule (even if it’s a T-shirt or one product or a restock) and you can sort your personal finances out so you can still live and not starve because you have to reinvest

You can't plant a seed and expect it to produce fruit immediately. The seed must be nourished so it can sprout, it must be watered and taken cared of, and after time it will produce a yield of fruit. Once harvested, if continued to be nourished, it will continue to produce fruit and so on and so on

@@thomasdrews-k5y self taught day trade/swingtrade anything trading related . If you want to get rich I suggest you find a decent job and then start learning how to trade / invest. Don’t trade if you’re broke. You will end up homeless if you fucked up. Trust me I was broke and the worst decision I ever made is not getting a decent job and dropout of college. I did end up retiring at 26 but the process is hard. I probably would get there quicker if I had a well paying job. 2 things I’m curious about So it sounds like you prefer doing 3-4 drops a year & not every month like most fast fashion brands? (I prefer minimal drops & well executed stuff) Secondly - do people just order stock ahead of time or do people do a pre order method ? Can’t seem to figure this out cos the average person isn’t gonna wait 5-6 weeks for their product since everyone’s wired for things now
@DaveNash2 ай бұрын
i personally prefer to do one drop per month. the video describes a hypothetical situation in which you start from scratch so you have to wait the entire product lifecycle time (4 months) since you dont really have capital to do otherwise. a ton of ppl do preorders. but for longevity and customer satisfaction, repeat order rate etc, i do premade.

You mentioned in another video that you manage multiple drops at the same time with your clothing brand. If you plan in advance and do monthly drops since you're running multiple drop campaigns, is it safe to assume you can accelerate your revenue in your first year? For example sake, how realistic is it to expect to reach 150k profit within the first year of clothing if you're pushing for more frequent drops?
@DaveNash2 ай бұрын
@@179421asdfgh its possible , but you'll have to start with way more capital to invest into MOQs of several drops at a time.
@jalenyoung66372 ай бұрын
Hey Dave, I noticed in your example you mentioned reinvesting both profit and COGS. Could you clarify how you're able to reinvest COGS? My understanding is that COGS are already spent on producing goods or services, so wouldn't it just be profit that’s available for reinvestment?
@DaveNash2 ай бұрын
from a cash perspective...COGS was already pre-bought. so you aren't subtracting it from $15k went it comes in. only $5k in ads is the extra expense during and after drop. so you get $15k back CASH, even though profit is $5k

My question for you is how long did it take you before you were able to live comfortably, and how often were u dropping when u first started? Also if you ur doing drops instead of having clothes available for purchase year-round, how would you go about optimizing advertising (how long prior to the drop should you begin running ads and for how much?) my video exhibits a hypothetical situation in which you start with limited capital and dump it fully into inventory for every drop. its a simple objective fact that a product development lifecycle takes about 4 months on average. when you have enough capital you can obviously stagger inventory to drop more frequently. and btw drop the ego, you're not special because you figured out how to drop on a monthly basis. i drop 2-4 times per month. this is a video for beginners to align them on the reality of situation.
