Yess! Thought my hair was the only one that hates coconut oil!!! Its a huge NO for me! I have low perosity hair and not very dense or thick and I simply cannot use coconut oil, I gave my entire jar to my sister! Only exception to my rule is the As I Am coconut co wash, I used it 1 time and I love it! Thank you for this video, I'm at my 1 yr anniversary! 🎉🎊😀😀

Just a random thought about coconut oil. I used to think coconut oil dried my hair until too until I realized that the key was clarifying it because of the build up it can cause. Once I got a quality clarifying shampoo and used it sparingly on a monthly basis my hair accepted coconut oil. I also avoid it in the winter because it solidifies in the cold. Beautiful hair by the way!

My Tip....Coconut oil will dry out ur hair when used by itself....YOU MUST USE OTHER OILS WITH IT! The minerals in the coconut oil is great but as I said, it can't be used alone!

Any product, even blends, with coconut oil dry my hair out severely... I had locs when I first started using it. Y'all ... that's the worst shape my hair has ever been in IN MY LIFE!

I agree with u. I feel many black stylists don't know how to trim and want to go by the 6 to 8 week rule to get trims. Basically, the hair you just grew they want to cut it off (or should I say WILL cut it off).

This stylist told me she knew how to do natural hair. But she didn't. I let her trim my hair. And she botched it up. Good thing I knew my hair and how to get it back. Yes, I use biotin.

Wow! I have high density, low porosity hair and my hair loves coconut oil! Coconut oil helps my hair stay moisturized ALL DAY. Olive oil and grapeseed oil did not work for me. My thick hair sucked up every bit of the moisture when I tried sealing with olive oil and grapeseed oil! So, coconut oil is not bad for ALL low porosity, high density heads of hair.

You said something incorrect when you said that oil doesn't moisturize your hair. I am low porosity and my hair doesn't absorb moisture easily. Therefore, I spritz my hair well with water, then I apply one of the moisturizing essential oils. Finally, I seal the moisture in with one of the sealing oils. It is also important to know the benefits of your oils as there is so much to learn. Your hair will thrive when you're using the right product for the right purpose. Also, in addition to coconut oil, many 4C ladies cannot tolerate gel. Otherwise, a good video.

She's right about oil not being moisturizing. The water you spritz your hair with first is what is moisturizing your hair. The oils you've placed on the strands afterwards help to keep those water molecules in the strand and slow down the evaporation. Oil is a lubricant. Water is moisture. =)

Allow me to respond; Ayurvedic Herbs are herbs such as Henna, Amla, Brahmi, Bhringraj, Hisbiscus powder etc. A lot of ancient people or Indian people used them in their hair. They are pouted to grow the hair, strengthen and thicken. Look it up!! Peace and Love.
