Great video! I am currently at GSU and was considering transferring to WGU for more flexibility. I work full-time job and have a 6 year old daughter so accelerating my degree would be ideal. Your tips are very helpful, look forward to seeing more! You're going to make an AMAZING teacher btw 😊

@NK 215 I got through first term classes in a week. Added 3 more
@stevenjshedd3 жыл бұрын
@NK 215 you have to do at least 12 credits a term. Most classes are 3 credits so, four is standard.
@stevenjshedd3 жыл бұрын
@NK 215 that's correct on both. Some complete just the minimum and others go quicker. I'm trying to go much quicker. The courses are designed to be about 5 weeks each.

Very informative video. I'm currently working on getting transfer credits using third party online providers like Sophia, Study, and Straighterline before I start at WGU for the BS Comp Sci. It took me 2 months to knock out Calculus for the degree pre-req so I'm very glad that is over. I didn't know about the Facebook groups so I'll have to check those out. Good luck on your journey, fellow Night Owl.

This is awesome! I start October 1st for the the teachers college as well for elementary education! Question: for the clases was it one at a time? Like they register you for one course at a time? Or can you do more than one?
@brookelynnenoel2 жыл бұрын
I was only allowed to do one at a time until I proved to my mentor that I could accelerate classes. Then she started adding two or three at a time so I could start on a new one while waiting for assessments to be graded.

How much does WGU cost and how to you finance it?
@brookelynnenoel Жыл бұрын
If I remember it correctly it was around $3,500 when I went there a few years ago. There are different payment options from self pay, payment plans, student loans, scholarships, and grants.

@@brookelynnenoel Thanks for the reply, I’m waiting for my evaluation now. Hoping to get decent amount of credits to transfer and finish as fast as possible to do the PCE & DT! I also have an associates and about 50-60 credits on top of it so hoping for the best 🙈

@@wa-reviews2794 I was kind of disappointed when I only had 26 transfer, but WGUs credit system is different and I am finding that it’s not as small of a percentage as I first thought. Good luck with your studies!

I think you get 3 free tries. I’m not exactly sure though!
@InformalGreeting3 жыл бұрын
You get 3 attempts on regular tests. I think 2 on the final. After that you’d have to pay. Being nervous is normal. But you’ll be OK. The only really difficult exams seem to be in the computer majors and those are certification exams not made by WGU.

What happens if you don't pass a class? Is that rare, or does it happen? I'm not the best at math so I'm a bit worried about those. If you don't pass, can you retake the course?
@brookelynnenoel2 жыл бұрын
If you don’t pass an exam or a task (paper) you can redo it however many times you need to. There is a fee after the 2nd or 3rd try I believe for the exams. If you don’t finish by the end of your term, you get an incomplete on that term and can finish it the next term.
