I used to hate doing the job of improving my Etsy titles and tags as it was such a duanting task. After 10 month's practice, I am getting better at it. Totally agree with you. Just keep experimenting and see what results you get, there is no need to get too stressed about finding the best strong keywords.

In this first video of yours, I think I have received some of the best, if not the best, of all the tips that I have seen in tons of videos about Etsy and positioning on that platform. What I really liked, and what also caught my attention, was that the explanation was concise and incredible, and that you gave it at no cost. Fanatastic video, so simple to understand. A couple of things I wanted to ask - when did Etsy say the pipe symbol counts as a word, and where do they say the first 4 words are the focus? I've been hearing the first 20 characters matter most because that's the only bit the app shows, but that etsy's AI doesn't care where the words are. Also, wouldn't 'pillows' cover you for the 'pillow' keyword as well?

Thanks for the video! I have tags that say Gift for Mom, then additional with other names for moms like (mama mom ma - as it’s own tag) figuring it will mix and match “Gift for” in one tag and part of the tag “mama” from the other. Is that wrong? Also, is the 1st 4 word thing noted in the Etsy handbook or something? I would love to read more about this.

We had 7 orders over the weekend and 6 out of the 7 orders had offsite ads fees. That's really strange because normally its 1 maybe 2. I noticed that they changed the fee percentage to 12% though. One of the orders was for $154.11 including $7.33 for tax. They took $59 in fees because of the 12% offsite ads fee and our $10 daily ads fee. Is anyone else noticing a massive jump in offsite ads fees on orders? Would love to hear your guys feedback. Great video Hannah! - Todd

Thats awesome then the ads are working! 12% is extremely low cost per acquisition compared to any other media buying out there.

Thank you for watching :) you don’t have to repeat your keywords, so it leaves more room for more search terms to broaden your searchability. To find new keywords you can use my Methods I am showcasing in the video :)

I have gotten great advice from your videos to help with my listings like using lifestyle photography, making sure every item listed is for sale, and other really helpful tips. I guess what I am wondering tho is how much, if at all do the pictures factor into the actual SEO? Ive never used this function but I think there is a way for shoppers to paste a photo of something they like and the search engine will generate similar looking items. So are my efforts to have great photos/vides just like good common sense or do the pictures feed data to the search engine in some significant way?

It is probably the most important factor in ranking your listing on all accounts having the top imagery for your store is #1 most important so you did the right thing @@v_lavender7452

Few days ago I got my first bestseller and I was speechless and what happened is that after that day I didn't sell once the listing... 🤣 I'm worried about how much time the bestseller badge can stay on a listing so.. 🤞

Badges can come and go but mostly out of your control, put that energy into putting out as many competitive listings as possible
