Thanks for taking your time to show details in how your fork brackets are made and function. I have a 1979 Ford 3600 that needs a set of forks for it and I decided on using the genuine type of forks as shown in your video. I already seen 2 of my neighbors bend their clamp-on forks rated for 2,000 lbs even when following the user and weight guidelines, and so I wont waste my time n money on those chintzy might-get-you-by forks that are made out of box tubing.

Yep, these forks I got off of Craigslist have served me well. So far I have not been able to bend or break them. I paid @$200-250 for these forks 5 plus years ago. The saying goes "buy once and cry once". Thanks for watching.

That is Exactly how I will do mine! I have a John Deere Diesel 1967 JD 300, Backhoe Loader! Thanks for taking the time to post it up! I was lucky enough to source Old, but usable Forks for $40.00! Already have the Stock Metal, so I'd better get busy! LOL

I have been looking at pallet forks and this is the best design I have seen. I only have a little toy tractor but I have been worried about the clamp on types bending the bucket and was thinking to extend the forks underneath to provide support. Doing it your way they have the support, there is much less leverage on any one spot on the bucket and they are easy to move. The brackets where you put the rod though would also double as lifting points to put chains through. This is definitely the design I will follow. Thanks very much for sharing your brilliant engineering. Much appreciated!

Sweet job right there, I made forks to work with my subcompact and the also are quickly removed and installed. Of course my tractor don't need near as strong steel.

I am lookin to do a very similar thing. I have a front loader with big plate hooks on the top of the bucket. I want to use them to hang some forks.

Well you definitely not bend them. Looks like you can get quite a good load on them, as long as you got your counter weight on there. Nice attachment to have, make it easy to get stuff off trucks too if you need to.

I can see your going to get a lot of use out of them, I use the ones on my tractor all the time mine are more quick detach with a lock pin option, I think I put up a video quite a few years ago but would have to look to make sure, Must be old age setting in..lol
