In this video, I'm going to talk about how I landed a GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) role with zero GRC experience. If you're curious about a cybersecurity career, but don't know where to start or you're looking to pivot into the tech field, but lack the "traditional" experience. It's time to overcome your fears and unlock your potential in this exciting industry. 👨🏾‍💻🖥️
➡️ Sound impossible? I felt the same way! But I took the leap of faith, and now I'm here to show you that you can too.
➡️ Feeling intimidated? Cybersecurity can seem scary, but GRC is a good entry point for people with non-technical backgrounds.

@ thank you! My previous job was working in a call center customer service environment so I had a lot of experience troubleshooting my work desktop hardware and helping customers troubleshoot software issues + user account management. I also made sure to tailor my resume to the job description a lot! (I plan on going into detail on how I did everything on my KZbin channel if you care to know more)

This dude was just in the right place in the right time. Cybersec absolutely requires experience. You can't secure what you don't understand. What he essentially said was the opposite.

I'm sorry, but saying no experience and a college degree in computer and i.t. focused studies along with working a job basically doing what some cyber sec roles do is misleading you sound like a fantastic candidate for that role brother.
@mentallyG

@@Yplayallday that’s true, but even with having focused studies and a college degree, majority of my experience was technical. I was never introduced to GRC.

Yeah you weren't introduced to GRC but you had experience in the IT security fields with the job you did so I think your caption is misleading.
